I like the use of dotted lines to indicate hops and skips. Also are they going to meet up with the Robber mice? It’s been awhile since we’ve seen them.
Love the tribute to Freddie there! Iggy and Ora Zella’s astonishment in panel 3 is almost certainly because Baba is mentioning the place they ran from. What is behind it, we will find out.
I always wondered, is the drawing of Freddie Quinn based on a real person? Was there an animal shelter in the town where Georgia grew up? If this was addressed, I must have missed it.
Back when I was a kitten here we didn’t have no fancy water fountains, fancy clay or paper litter, automatic self cleaning litter boxes or all kinds of toys.
We drank water out of a bowl, litter was just sand or they put us outside, a human had to clean the litter box(s) if they had any and we played with boxes, paper bags, yarn, or what ever we could find. Dad gum whippersnappers think the gots to have all kind of fancy do dads and thing-a-ma-bobs. Now Get Off of My Cat Tree.
I don’t know if anyone posted Sunday’s card, because I was in a funk & decided to burn the day & catch up on sleep, so here it is:
Death:“This is often a scary card for people, but Tillie is here to remind you that the end of one chapter is not necessarily the end of the book!”

And here’s the latest:
Temperance: Who could it be but gentle Puck? I loved @fuzzybritches comment: “Ah, Pucky, the supreme example of the stability of a tripod! So much more stable than a 4-legged chair or table. (Unless you mess with Buzzy Mouse. Or his tea. Or his perch on the tree. Just sayin’.)”
Can we just take a moment, that beside being a fabulous cartoonist and story-teller, Georgia is an amazing watercolour artist? The colours in today’s strip are a feast for the eyes!
OT – I last commented when I lost my cat Fearless a couple of months ago. Six weeks ago, I decided I was ready and adopted a new cat – a 5-year-old calico I have named Gema. She is fitting in really well in my apartment – the first night I brought her home she slept in my bed. She is still settling in, but I think she realizes that this is her new permanent home and is starting to show that she is in charge.

Backstory time? Can we see Baby Mouse again? Also, I love Iggy’s little paw in the air.

I don’t know if I like this story arc. It’s already making the (stupid, inferior) screen go blurry.
For some reason, October story arcs seem to do that.

Ooh! There’s some real history here, and Bea is getting the scoop!
Also, there’s no more bottle-brushing.

Oh, I’m really hoping Freddie will show up to say hello. She’d be so proud of how Baba turned out, and Baba would be happy to see her Woman again!

The Moody Blues: Your Wildest Dreams
Once upon a time,
Once before my home was mine
I remember having been
In the care of Freddie Quinn
I wonder if she’s here,
I wonder if she thinks about me
Beyond the Rainbow Bridge
In her Wildest Dreams!
…….
I once was a kitten, too
The world seemed so fresh and new
Each and every day
Was made for kitten’s games to play
I wonder if she knows
How much I still appreciate her
How much she still lives
In my Wildest Dreams!
…….
And when the kittens purr
I still remember how she loved all of us
It makes me want to purr
And all the kittens here
Are part of her lovely family
Since once upon a time!
…….
From Tillie to Burt
We owe a debt of love to her
Every kitten new
And every old moggie, too
She sewed the seeds of love,
And some of us still remember
Once upon a time
In Our Wildest Dreams!

Today be St. Crispin’s day. And ye, my brothers and sisters rejoice upon this field of the Orb.
“Harry the King, Bedford and Exeter,
Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester—
Be in their flowing cups freshly rememb’red.
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne’er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be rememberèd—
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin’s day."

Come and listen to a story about a cat named Mouse
When just a baby, sheltered in the Big Pink House,
Then spent her days makin’ sure barn mice were shooed,
And saving wayward kitties when life got rude.
Hero she is, heart o’ gold, just ask Bea.
