Good morning™, preliminary treatments !

So far looks like straight forward induction work ……… until D & S show up and “crash the party”. Unless Rusty is sedated I see a half hearted fracas with him being one of Tracy’s easier collars (aren’t they all?).

will all the magnetized bits of metal be found in Steely’s face when he’s examined?… and even if the examining doctor DOES discover Steely’s face is full of metal bits, he’ll realize that though it IS a bit unusual, he wouldn’t even think that something was off and alert the police… why should he?… in HIS eyes, it was the result of an accident and nothing suspicious or dubious… so as of right now, Steely is safe and secure within the hospital… no one knows where he actually is, not even Robert, who is only aware that Uncle ArceHead is trying to contact him…

The characters in panel 2 seem out of proportion.

Just how was Steelwools stupid plate attached to his forehead? I would think there should be some sort of markings, glue or something visible.

Instead his forehead is as smooth as baby Gweedo’s rear end!!!

I will stay tuned, to see where this is going!

Looks like Steelface has found the only medical center in the entire country that doesn’t require medical staff & patients to wear masks.

The hospital will probably give him a cat scan. The metal bits will become magnetized and get pulled thru his brain causing severe damage because of the machine. Robert will become a very rich fellow and successful actor after suing the hospital for malpractice on his uncle. Steelface will become a vegetable lying in the hospital wing of the jail while Robert gets a slap on the wrist for testifying against his uncle.

I see that the second ‘E’ of Arceneaux is back. Maybe it’s just Robert who gets it wrong.

The nurse at least uses the term “skull fracture,” rather than “broken head.”

METALMOUTH: “Ok, what are you gonna do?”

Danit! I was up all night with a pain in my side, so I got the ‘brilliant’ idea of a hot soak. Falling in the tub wasn’t part of the game plan. Now I’m laid up for the afternoon. NO serious damage that we can tell. May turn in at 6 tonight, to play catch-up.

Somebody help me out here. If Mr. Arceneaux had a head-on collision with the truck or whatever the other vehicle was, wouldn’t he have been wearing a seatbelt? Then did the car he was driving have an airbag? Hmm…maybe not…he must have hit his head on the steering wheel. The accident must have been traumatic for him. He saw his life flashing before his eyes.

At least he did not have to wait long for medical attention.

It makes me wonder if Mr. Arceneaux and the other driver exchanged information to report an accident. Or when the authorities catch up to him…several charges…one of them leaving the scene of an accident.

We got into a pretty fair discussion about Ogden The Rhymer yesterday.To continue that story,I wonder if Chester Gould ever had a bad experience with Joan Crawford.

I suspect evil society woman Burpie Upp was based on her.

In 1960,Crawford was married to Pepsi-Cola head AlfredSteele,her only reasonably happy union.Although manysay he worked himself into an early grave trying to please her.

Burpie began by drinking only “Cola”,before she switched to hard liquor.And she didn’t treat HER daughter very well,either.

I love how she knows how to pronounce this goobers name. In real life it’d be like “Ar-kii-nax?”

Speaking of horrifying deaths, did any of you hear about the guy at Caterpillar’s Mapleton foundry who fell into an 11 foot deep pot of molten iron and was (and I quote) “immediately incinerated”.

OSHA considers that worth $145,000+ in fines.
