Veteran’s Day again? The one day a year I get to wear my Good Conduct Medal.

“Canteen Kate.” Hubba hubba!

Ah yes , The Myth of the Canteen Girl , Thank You To All Who have Served !

I wonder what her hourly rate is? One, two, three privates an hour?

She can never be too patriotic.

Kate loved the Army, Navy, and Air Force, but wouldn’t give the time of day to a marine no matter how good he looked in his dress blues. She was rotten to the Corps.

Thank you to all who served. I think of the job that had to be done, that I didn’t want to do, and give a very sincere thank you to those who did it my place.

I salute her patriotism.

Remember those who gave all.

Are you kidding? Last year, she took on the whole platoon….

SWITCH HITTER: That won’t prove anything. We won’t know which side of my sexuality appeals to her.

Those active duty soldiers aren’t military veterans yet. Maybe after an evening with Kate, though, they’ll be veterans of… something else.

Nov. 11 was originally Armistice Day, marking the end of The Great War, and celebrated that we’d learned enough to never do anything that stupid again. Gee, that worked well…..

The best way to celebrate our veterans is to stop making new ones.
