What craft project has wrought this? I can at least gleam that much as while the biggest one seems a bit too big for that the smallest one seems very swallowable and well.. Elvis "Give me them death noodles’ dunn and Lupin “I’ll eat all the lamps I want” Dunn both make a strong case for that being a very bad thing in this house.

Our Esse is of the Goldie school of batting (also for scrounging food) be very delicate on the approach. Investigate with the lightest of touch being aware of any response from the mystery object. Constantly check with mama for reassurance that things are O.K.

Creedence Clearwater Revival: Bad Moon Rising

I see a lot of pom poms coming

I see tribbles on the ground

I see I must teach Ora Zella

How to bat them gently now!

    …….

You must bat them just right

Don’t bat them out of sight

Tribbles all kinds of trouble cause!

    …….

    I see a hurricane a-blowin!

Oh wait, that’s really Ora Z

Be careful, there’s no way of knowin’

Just what trouble these tribbles might be!

    …….

You must bat them just right

Don’t bat them out of sight

Tribbles all kinds of trouble cause!

    …….

I see a lot of pom poms

    I see tribbles everywhere

I see Iggy and Ora Zella,

    I see the bathroom you-know-where!

I know the Woman loves holidays, but I cannot imagine these pom poms relating to Presidents’ Day, Mardi Gras, or Ash Wednesday. I look forward to finding out their purpose once Goldie finishes her investigation.

It’s not unusual to check out any poms

It’s not unusual that Ora wants in on any fun

So when she sees you rolling about those puffy ones

It’s not unusual to hear her cry:

    “I wanna try”

It’s not unusual to hear her shout at any time

‘Cause when she sees you bat them about it’s such a crime

If you should ever wanna to share with that li’l one

    It’s not unusual

    It happens every day

    No matter what you say

You’ll find it happens all the time

She will never do what you want her to

Why can’t you think her craziness is fine?

It’s not unusual to be mad with anycat

It’s not unusual to be sad with anycat

But if we ever find that you’ve let her have a turn at bat

It’s not unusual to find out that she’ll love you for that

    Whoa-whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh

    Whoa-whoa, oh-ohh

    Whoa-whoa, oh-oh-oh-oh, whoa

    Whoa-whoa, whoa-whoa

    Meanwhile, Back on the Nile

    At the Xanadu Hive

Queen Titania: It’s the season to make some special honey. Let’s start with a visit to the Cosmo Nursery.

Kira (Terpsichore): Ooh, I haven’t seen Trevor-Hotep in ages!

Mel (Melpomene): I heard he has some new types of flowers growing in his garden.

Clio: What are we waiting for? Let’s go!

    At the Cosmo Nursery

Trevor-Hotep: Welcome, Ladies! I have plenty of new flowers for your honey making. Like these colorful pom pom flowers.

Callie (Calliope): They are lovely. I’ll bet they’ll make the most delicious honey.

Polly (Polyhymnia): Why don’t we ask them?

Tallie (Thalia): Hello, lovely pom poms. Do you mind if we gather some of your pollen.

Pom Pom: We’d be delighted. Just be gentle. My name is Tasselia Pomander. Call me Tess.

Tallie: Pleased to meet you, Tess. I’m Thalia, call me Tallie.

Tess: We have plenty of pollen for you. But we must warn you, there is a tortie hurricane visiting.

Tallie: Ora Z is here? I’ll have to say hi.

Take a look at the Valentine’s Day strip and you can see a string of pom poms just above the speech bubbles. The woman probably took them down and placed them in a storage box. What kitten can resist looking into a box?

When we were at our largest amount of cats in our clowder, we moved. Upon moving the couch, we came upon the glorious puffball stash. Along with the spring stash, mouse stash and all the random toys stash. Luckily the cats were already closed in a room in the new house, so they didn’t end up batted all over the house while we were shoving furniture around.

We finally got my new computer out of the box and set up yesterday. It was the first time since I got it back in I think September that I’ve had time, energy, and sense at the same time. And yay! This one seems to be working properly. Now I need to make the Blooming Onion soup. All I have to do is get the energy.

Have you ever listened to a piece of music that gave you an emotional reaction?

There are many pieces of music I have listened to over the years that I have really enjoyed. However, these two have been special.

    Off-Topic

Akiro has reached new heights of weird; this evening he was begging insistently for a bit of my cookie (oatmeal-cranberry, baked fresh today). Knowing that he doesn’t generally care for such things, I saved him two tiny bits (with no fruit); what do you know, he actually ate both morsels! Goofy cat; hasn’t he heard that he is an obligate carnivore?
