My little racing feet will bring the thunder: “Rumba-rumba-rumba-rumba-rumba, WUMP”
(It took a little while to find the exact quote in the archives (https://www.gocomics.com/breaking-cat-news/2015/08/06). It was on the other side of the first Christmas special, and the screen always get blurry there, for some reason.)
So, OZ is causing all this thunder. Silly me, I thought it was the severe thunderstorm that just went past. (There are tornado warnings to the north of me.) This was the third line of storms to go through. There’s one more line to the west.
Glad to see Lupin and Ora Z are being responsible and wearing eye protection while bringing the thunder! At those speeds a speck of dust, or fly, can do some real damage!
This can’t be right, can it? That T-shaped corridor is running the complete length of what should be the only outside wall of the nursery, which means that the nursery has either no windows, or only windows into the corridor, which would be an incredibly weird choice. The corridor being cross-shaped and running between the old bedroom and the nursery to the living room and up between the new bedroom and temporary storage would make a lot more sense.
How did nobody knews there was so many rooms and big corridores hidden in building before they was found? It shoulda been obvious looking at building size from outside? And why would anyone hides perfectly fine rooms in building anyways?
Does that mean the new addition contained two new rooms? It still looks like a lot of space. Panel four gives me a flashback to Lupin with pineapple ring glasses. “Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Elton John!”(https://www.breakingcatnews.com/comic/examining-the-evidence/)
“my little racing feet will bring the thunder” reminds me so much of our late Bruiser. Our first house had a very long hallway, who knew a three pound kitten could make that much noise!?
Thank the great Cat in the sky that we have BCN. For a few minutes each day, we can escape the world’s craziness and immerse ourselves in the antics of Ora, Lupin, et alia.
My two are fairly soft-footed, even when running around. Yum Yum, however, sounded like a small herd of elephants in full stampede (or should that be a herd of small elephants?). I miss that little meezer.
Thank you for all the kind words and prayers for my little Peaky P, she passed peacefully Friday at 4:18PM EST. The traveling vet was so nice and very compassionate, In 2015 I dug Chester’s grave in a snowstorm. While crying, I dug his mother’s next to his in the pouring rain this morning. I Couldn’t have picked a sadder and gloomier day. I have a small headstone I cut from Blue stone for both and will Dremel in the pertinent info for our little friends for posterity. It doesn’t seem like Roy and Poodle miss her much, but only time will tell. This particular batch of cats seems weird in that they don’t hang out or are buddies. When PK first came inside, it was contentious with our two at first. Poodle ignored her for the most part, Roy was her wrasslin’ buddy, and when she had her kittens he became a doting Uncle and helped to babysit and help raise them. Although with later regrets I gave 3 of them new families and kept Chester, who became inseparable with Roy right up until he suddenly died in his sleep cuddled next to Roy. I’m sure in their own way they feel a loss. I know my tiny “P Pickle” is at peace and no longer suffering. I will miss her the most.
Nice map! I can just see the kitties carrying it around to learn the best routes. I also like that leaves a bit for the imagination. Dont want to spell things out to plainly.
yes, but where is the front of the building and the back. Is this view showing the front at the bottom and the back at the top? Face it Georgia, you’re going to have to bite the bullet and make a 3d model of the house, perhaps of the many lost lego’s found under the couch!
The cross section of the Big Pink House only showed one side, and the apartment chart only shows the apartment itself. Like many Victorians turned into apartments and the real life BPH, one side of the building has the staircases and doors into each apartment. Many of the Victorians have one bathroom in weird places on each floor because bathrooms were added decades later as plumbing came inside. I may someday map out the entire house, but for now remember—these are the parts the cats know for now! Imagine their surprise in finding side halls and servants stairs and utility closets! Maybe one day!
The two one-eyed Bramble cats, creamsicle floof Carlton & tuxie Eureka, both went to their forever homes today! See the rest of the adoptable Brambles here:

Aaaaand… 2 new calico Catermelons!
“Two pregnant cats arrived Mar. 30th from the Bramble colony. 1) Orinda has ringworm, and is blood type B. 2) Scotia has lice, a ruptured eyeball, and is type A.” Orinda looks about ready to PEW PEW PEW her kittens any minute!
With all the stress over the storms, I just got around to turning my calendars. I love this month’s BCN calendar page of an Angelic Pucky! If you don’t have a BCN calendar, you can preview all the pages at the link below. It’s currently on sale for $23.80.
Thank you to readers who pointed out that the new hallway would block the Nursery windows. The cats have corrected it, and I have shared the updated map to all of BCN’s social media accounts. I don’t know if it can be corrected in the archives, but going forward the amended map of the apartment in the second slide will be the map the cats use. BCN appreciates the diligence of viewers like you!!

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
The Next Morning
Puckmosis: Time to head out to Floofnet’s Culinary School.
Elvis-Anum: I kind of like their saying the Ceiling Can Be a Floor. Too bad it’ll never catch on.
Beatrixia: Yeah, who would remember it?
Iggy: Has anyone seen Ora Z anywhere?
Puckmosis: I think she might have headed to the pond.
Ora Z: Splish, splash! I was taking a bath.
Bea: Well, at least she’ll be clean for breakfast.
Puckmosis: Violet and Tash?
The Royal Procurers: We’re here!
Elvis: Then let’s head out.
At Floofnet’s Culinary School
Floof: Welcome, everyone! We’ve been expecting you!
Elvis: On behalf of all of us, I present you with this gift of…oh, you know.
Floof: And how is that nephew of mine?
Puck: Fine. Busy as always.
Floof: Well, you let him know he’s always welcome to visit his uncle. Now to breakfast!

Lupin and Ora are going squirrelybonkers in the halls. I wonder if they are singing, “Wreck the halls with evil chasies!”

so, where do People enter (& leave) the House?
is the Outside Door in the Living Room, or the Kitchen?
or one in each, lol.

Problem. There is only one bath and it is entered through the living room. Temp storage can possibly be split, but at what cost.
