All week we’ve been forming images in our minds from Beatrix’s notes. Today we are forming dialogue in our minds from Sophie’s notes.

And just to summarise: they only use styrofoam cups at meetings.

The result of this meeting was to ban the use of styrofoam cups at meetings.

How beautiful. Iggy, keep those two apart!

The new style makes me want to recommend this for the Ruben, but I don’t think the voting committee would get it.

It shows versatility, emotion, and humor to those of us who know the characters.

Sophie is quite the artist! She caught everyone perfectly. Poor Iggy is hiding from the impending storm, and Ora is zonked out after her squirrelybonkers.

Zonked out after squirrelybonkers is classic kitten behavior. Torties take it to eleven.

Ah, the youthful days of creating art on lined looseleaf notebook paper! Using a combination of Flair felt tips and hand-sharpened color pencils. Alas, even at my most creative, my cat sketches lacked toe beans.

Ah yes finally drawings has begins to appears.

Sums up the cast in one panel. I love it.

Notice the lightning bolt between Elvis and Tabitha. At first I thought it was simply pointing down towards Iggy (and which seemed befitting his character), but I realized it’s more likely representing the storm brewing between Elvis and Tabitha.

Is that Beatrix on the far left? I love the look of concentration on her little face! Her mouth tilted right, you can that blep just trying to peek out while she works so hard at what she’s doing. I really need this for my wall. I have the perfect spot for it!

I love Tommy in his typical “clueless” fashion of not being able to read the room. Big smile, waving at the camera. Oblivious to what is about to happen.

And of course, poor anxious Puck! Someone get him a cup of catnip tea and a British murder mystery.

OMC! When will a print be offered?

I was thinking Thomas is waving at and greeting Sophie (as usual for him when she’s drawing/creating) and I can imagine her saying, “Not now, Thomas.”

So glad we got to see Sophie’s notes. These are beautiful! And we finally get to see Sir Fig! This probably depicts the end of the meeting since everyone is at loggerheads and Ora Zella has tired herself out.

What a beautiful drawing, Sophie! You caught everyone’s character. I don’t think it’s a case of Tommy not reading the room, he’s being his usual, expansive, cheerful self! I think the lightning bolt is Iggy getting irritated at not being able to see over the table, and being used as a buffer between Tabitha and Elvis. The facial expressions are wonderful.

Sophititi: I’ve finished illustrating Beatrixia’s meeting minutes. Anything I need to add?

Maat-Tilda: Looks like you’ve got everything covered. I like how you depicted Ora Zed with that blur of colors.

Soph: Then I’ll take these to Elvis-Anum for archiving. Incidentally, do you believe in ghosts?

Tillie: Sometimes. Why do you ask?

Soph: I think I just saw one that looked like one of Adobe Style’s fabrics.

Tillie: That was probably a zoomie.

Soph: It was moving rather fast for a zombie.

Tillie: No, a zoomie. You know, when you get that burst of energy you just have to run off.

Soph: You mean like Lupinium?

Tillie: I think zoomies are his default setting.

Soph: And Ora Z?

Tillie: Goes without saying.

Soph: And Thomios?

Tillie: Ever notice when he goes on a baking frenzy?

Soph: Oh, yes. I always enjoy the results.

Ladybug update: Well, we got her into a neurologist yesterday. She did not like the 2 hour drive! An MRI ($3500, holy moly!) told us that she has a herniated disc impinging upon her spinal cord plus 3 more discs with degenerative disease. (How can a kitty this young have that much disc disease?)We simply do not have an additional $4-5K for surgery so the vet suggested we give her until early next week to see if she improves because, apparently, cats can sometimes recover naturally from this. This is so very frustrating and painful.

If Georgia places this strip in the store, I bet it would be sold out in microseconds. (I, for one, would buy a copy for my wife.)

Now we know what Georgia was saving her sore hand for – the pressure involved in drawing today’s strip entirely in colored pencil must have put as much strain on that hand as inking & painting a whole week’s worth! Easy to see the generational difference between Iggy and Ora and the rest of the cast. They are really not “invested” in this meeting. Where are the snacks???

That’s gorgeous! Wow. I hope we get to see more of Sophie’s drawing style in the future. Also, I love that both Elvis and Lupin have squabble partners ;)

Someone needs a milk crate. And I find it interesting which side Puck and Tommy are on. That and the fact that it’s Iggy rather than Bea seperating the two sides. Does this mean Iggy’s the next intern?

Sir Fig and Lupin appear a bit smaller than everyone else? I wonder if it is because they are standing a bit away from the table or if they are a bit smaller. I know Goldie is a pretty large cat, and so is Tommy, but did not know this about Tabitha (or Elvis).
