And his humiliation is complete. The dreaded ballerina pirate phase. It’s only diginfied if you leave behind no witnesses. Or, you keep repeating “*I’M A DIGNIFIED BALLERINA, BY CAT*!”
It’s never explained why the Woman’s Sister is carrying around baby pictures of Elvis in her bag, but I like to imagine she found them at her place by accident and brought them over to give to the Woman.
Lupin’s reactions are priceless. As are Elvis’s. They make the humiliation complete. The way to cancel the humiliation enjoy’;ment of those doing the humiliation is to join in the laughter. It ruins the fun by there humiliators.
Panel #3 is one of my all time favorites. (Right up there with the first Christmas special panel when Tommy leaps into his woman’s arms; the first Halloween special panel when Tillie and Freddie are reunited with a hearty, “I’ve been waiting for you old girl,” and the end of the peep toads where they are all dancing by the light of the moon! The Christmas and Halloween ones make me cry. The peep toads and pirate ballerina make me smile and literally LOL.
Yes, Mommy’s Little Pirate Ballerina! I remembered that one, but thought after yesterday it came up elsewhere. To steal from a friend and his fantasy game, Bippity boppity gaargh, Elvis!
Pirate ballerinas are a real thing, though. Le Corsaire’s a great classical ballet…my favorite! The hero rescues a lady abducted by pirates. It’s got a marvelous. pas de deux and lots of chances for the guys to show off their leaps.
Just want to say to Creator Georgia Dunn thanks for the cat allergies and keep taking the time necessary to let your hand heal. Best to wait longer then jump back in to early leading to more time away from what you love to do.
Elvis in panels 1 and 2 – ears plastered back in outrage – is just perfect. I want to soothe him so badly, but you know the minute you put out so much as a finger, those murder mittens are coming into play!
I enjoy reading the comments. It stretches out the enjoyment of reading the funnies as well as the camaraderie but by the time I’m finished I usually have nothing to add as most of it’s been said, some a few times. :D
The Dread Pirate Elvis: “Avast, ye scurvy wench, lest I hork in yer handbag! An’ ye, lubberly Lupin! I’ll shiver ye timbers fr’m one end a yer keel t’ other!”
Miscreant had a really dark stripe down his nose until the rest of his points filled in. He was so cute. Not as cute as Ballerina Boy but cute none the less.
In regards to reading orders mentioned above, what is everyone’s BCN reading order. I usually read BCN last because I like to read all the comments as well. So I run through all my other comics (also reading comments on several others like Amanda the Great, Cats Cafe and Snow Sez). Then on to BCN comic and comments. What are others’ habits?

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
Iggy: It’s been so good to see you, Zig. Can’t wait till the Red Planet Spider comes back to port.
Ziggy: It won’t be long. And thanks for my guitar. We’ll have another concert when we’re back.
Iggy: Great. Since Mandy and Lynn are setting up their luthier shop nearby, I think I’ll buy and instrument and learn how to play it.
Sound of Horn
Captain Horatio: All aboard!
Ziggy: Oh, gotta go.
Iggy: Right. Until next time.
All: Fair winds and a following sea!
At the Mandy and Lynn Luthier Studio
Puckmosis: How is everything going?
Mandy: Excellent. This may be just the Pretty Good Pyramid, but it’s exactly right for our purposes.
Lynn: There are still passages to be explored, if you’re still looking for scrolls.
Puckmosis: Thanks. It appears the Library at Meowlexandria still exists. I notice you’re making guitars on a very small scale. Are they prototypes?
Mandy: No. These are for actual playing.
Lynn: But we can’t tell who.

Baby face, you had the cutest little baby face
No other tutu-ed pirate could ever take your place
Baby face
Our glad hearts are thumpin’ cause you are really somethin’
Baby face, the Woman always dressed you up in style and lace
And thank the Cat above cause we just had to fall in love
With your pretty baby face
When you were a baby not so long ago
You were for sure the cutest thing
We’ve seen the pictures the Woman’s sis did display
Just lookin’ precious bleppin’ in your sweet baby way
Say, honest I ain’t fibbin’, you’re still beautiful today
Baby face, you’ve got the cutest little baby face
Lupin laughin’ at you is such disgrace :)
Baby face
Our glad hearts are thumpin’ cause you are really somethin’
Baby face, Cat up in heaven showered you with Her sweet grace
The moon and stars above got nothin’ on you, love
And your pretty baby face

Ballet dancer cat
You are so graceful
With you standing there
We are all aware
How cute and dignified you are.
…….
We don’t just love you now
We love you for always
We can see in you
Your heart of gold, it’s true
Oh, please never go away!
…….
You have shown us
There’s nothing we can’t do
We don’t dare skritch you
But we have to say
We all still love you!
…….
Ballet dancer cat
And fearsome pirate
With you standing there
We are all aware
Of how cute and dignified you are!.
