Sweet Tommy. We all want to cuddle him, but how about Ora Z popping up for a look. Iggy not quite popping, just an ear tease?

It’s good to have backup. While Tommy is certainly of a size to hold his own (at the very least) against the moles, he certainly is not of the proper disposition.

Smokey was our hunter cat and she would leave the occasional mole carcass for all to see. We were never sure if they were meant as rent or thanks; or perhaps as a warning to other moles. I always assumed it was more of a “You are terrible hunters! This is so you don’t starve.”

Goldie returning a favor to Tommy from when he helped her with the racoons years ago. Poor Tommy seems a little uncertain after his experience with the moles.

Yeah. Goldie, do you really think you should be saying that? Especially when young ears are listening? I mean, Ora Zella already has enough ideas of her own.

Goldie must have been going through some archives to know about the previous adventures – laundry chute and dumbwaiter – in the BPH.

We know of one " creature" who is planning WWIV. The moles should be quaking in there boots, uh shoes, uh…what DO moles wear on their feet paws.

What Goldie said reminded me. Her first appearance was when she snuck inside during a storm. Lupin glimpsed her but wasn’t believed and he wasn’t certain. So she definitely knows her way in and out.

If Goldie gives the littles ideas, everyone is in for scary times ahead. It’s cute the way their ears are peeping over the desk.

Tommy needs Goldie. He certainly shouldn’t be alone out there whilst hostilities are active.

    Meanwhile, Back on the Nile

    At the Royal Palace

Iggy: I’m back from fishing, everyone. How did the potato launching go?

Wally: Better than we hoped. We also discovered a new (sort of) pyramid.

    Iggy: Sort of?

Iron Glove: It’s kind of lopsided. We think it may be the You Call That a Pyramid?

Iggy: Are we going to explore it?

Wally: Of course. Like to go along?

    Enter Lupinium

Iggy: Welcome back! I see your pink wore off.

Lupinium: Yes. One can’t remain pink forever. But the Vacation Scroll School kittens enjoyed it.

Wally: Did you bring anything from the Cosmo Nursery?

Lupinium: Of course. I have some new flowers and vegetables. I’ll have to get them to Sue Chef while Thomios is away. Where is Puckmosis?

Iggy: He’s at the Salubrious Spa after a week of VSS.

Iron Glove: We found a new pyramid. Like to join us exploring?

Lupinium: Wouldn’t miss it. Is Elvis coming?

Elvis-Anum: Someone has to stay here and run the kingdom.

Who would know more about Swiss cheese than those lovable Robber Mice? I’ll bet those ladies have a veritable Marauder’s Map of the BPH that they’ve drawn over the years. Would they let us have a glance at it? Probably not.

    They’re no danger to us

You know the moles and so do I (do I)

    A full exposé’s what I’m thinking of

You wouldn’t get this from a cat who’s shy

I just wanna show you how I’m feeling

    Gotta make you understand

    Never gonna give you up

    Never gonna let you down

Never gonna run away and desert you

    Always gonna stand close by

Always gonna be at your side

Never gonna let those li’l jerks hurt you

Never gonna get a good map

    Of how Goldie got out

Now she’s gonna run around and report for you

    She’s gonna figure out why

    Those moles made Tommy cry

And she’ll bring you the facts, straight and true

    .

(With absolutely no apologies to Rick Astley, ever; you know what you did. But I’ll throw a few Misty’s way because they got here first.)

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Procyon lotor

They are tramping out the mole where the grapes of wrath they store

They hath loosed the fateful lightning of their terrible swift claws

    The Raccoons keep marching on

    Glory, Glory, hallelujah!

    Glory, glory, hallelujah!

    Glory, glory, hallelujah!

    The Raccoons keep marching on

I have seen garbage cans of homes across the land

They have builded it an altar where they will firmly stand

I can heard it’s righteous roaring by the dim and flaring teeth

    The Raccoons keep marching on

    Glory, Glory, hallelujah!

    Glory, glory, hallelujah!

    Glory, glory, hallelujah!

    The Raccoons keep marches on

I have heard her fiery gospel writ in many garbage dumps

“As ye deal with my contemners, so with you my grace shall pumpl”

Let the Hero, born of Raccoon, crush the serpent mole under heel

    The Raccoons keep marching on

    Glory, Glory, hallelujah!

    Glory, glory, hallelujah!

    Glory, glory, hallelujah!

    The Raccoons keep marching on

She has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat

She is sifting out the hearts of mole before her judgment-seat

Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer her! Be jubilant, my feet!

    The Raccoons are marching on

    Glory, glory, hallelujah!

    Glory, glory, hallelujah!

    Glory, glory, hallelujah!

    The Raccoons are marching on

In the beauty of the lilies Queen Mag was born for all to see

With a glory in Her bosom that transfigures you and me

As She fight to make Raccoons holy, let us die to make the yard free

    The Raccoons are marching on

    Glory, glory, hallelujah!

    Glory, glory, hallelujah!

    Glory, glory, hallelujah!

    The Raccoons are marching on

There are a couple of cartoons I absolutely love, but none of them give me anxiety and happiness as this one does and makes me rush to the daily strip to join in the merriment or chaos. I also appreciate those who have been here longer than I; their comments orient me as to who is who and what they have done in the past. It’s so nice in these days to be able to enjoy something so ‘simple’ yet so wonderful! Thanks to all, especially Georgia and her talents.

The map comment is really funny! She’s been trying to do it as the cats would be familiar with the house, so it may never be accurate, indeed (though there was that revision early on …).

The only problem with making homemade ice cream is not having room in the freezer for the large bag of ice. This means that once the ice is bought, I have to make the ice cream immediately. So this afternoon I made one gallon of orange Creamsicle ice cream.

I just wish my grand baby hadn’t gotten sick. First birthday party has been postponed for two weeks.
