At least somebody has their priorities straightened out. Say, if Gunther’s good at sewing, maybe he could sew puppets for me.

So who is more boring… Gunther or Luann?

Lu is looking at her phone so when she says zillions of followers is that an assertion of fact or Luann saying what Bets thinks will happen? As for Gunther, if he says organizing his sewing table as one of his accomplishments he’s got problems. As for outlining TA strategies for a year, isn’t that more the business of the professor’s he’s working for. Oh, if only the writers knew what a TA does.

Here’s an idea. Since Lu is not about to talk Gunny out of being a T.A. why not have her invite him to go skydiving together? Then have Gun post vids online to Bets?

Gunther’s life isn’t boring. He’s going to college and making the most of it. Meanwhile I guess Bets must have dropped out of school to go pursue her dream, which seems to be working out.So everyone is happy.

Bets wants to influence her fans but in what way? How is she being a role model to them, and what is the point she is trying to get across to them?

Beta and Gunther are definitely going to drift further and further apart. I wonder if she’d even want to settle down in one location and we know he has his set boundaries and comfort zone.

I just spent th afternoon organizing my sewin desk. Bout a month ago I bought me a Singer 6800C Computerized Heavy Duty Sewing Machine. It’ll go through 4 thick pieces of leather or 10 layers of denim. It came with bout $190 of accesories an has 586 stitch applications. My old machine was almos 45 years old an came from Monkey Wards. Still works but it gets a weird hitch in its getalong ever now an then

That boy needs Bets to help him unattach to safe, comfortable things, that will eventually result in success in a Silicon Valley type of environment. He needs a tuned in 21st century warrior who loves him.

Back to the old, boring Gunther. Sigh.

So let’s be honest here. Bets was an awful character anyway. Selfish, possessive and really didn’t show much as far as redeeming qualities go. One of the more poorly written and presented characters here.

Gunther and Bernice so belong together! They both enjoy a buttoned-up lifestyle and attention to detail. They could spend their weekends sorting buttons or alphabetizing the kitchen cupboards and be perfectly content.

On paper, Gunther and Bernice are the perfect match.A snarky dominatrix and a submissive, regimented mama’s boy.

So I guess Gunther is being mildly mocked for doing something that’s actually useful and is what he wants to? Because it isn’t glamorous? Do I have that right?

This is why Greg and Karen don’t grow the strip. Gunther has plenty of real-life experience but G&K keep resetting him to ‘boring nerd’ mode. It’s as if they are afraid to actually let their characters grow into more complex, interesting people.

Gunther looks really satisfied with his life. It seems like the situation with Bets is fine for him. It’s nice to see him like this, but we readers saw what happened with Les and how his cousin had to delete his account to stop Gunther from obsessively watching what Bets was posting and how happy she seemed without him. So: Gunther doesn’t want to worry Luann or maybe his pride is talking and he don’t want to let others see how bad he feels. Or maybe, he has accepted the fact? Let’s hope Bets comes back soon to see how things really are. Luann looks rightfully perplexed.

At least they are having a conversation. The other guys weren’t all that talkative, and Luann didn’t seem interested in any of them. Maybe because she and Gunther have known each other since at least elementary school.

Lu and Gunt may be the perfect match. But like with Lu and Jack, or Gunt and Bets, opposites attract.

I don’t get it why would Bets need to run off to other parts of the country just to do the influencer thing, she can do it with Gunther, besides did she quit school ?.

If any two people were compatible, it would be Gunther and Bernice. They certainly have the intense need for order and strong aversion to sex in common.

When is Gunther going to tell about what really broke them up? The broken condom, the accidental pregnancy, Gun’s desire to get married and have the kid, Bets’s refusal and choosing abortion.

Love the smug satisfaction that Gunther shows about his accomplishments. Those things are important to him and that’s all that matters. If he would admit it, Bets’ exit probably feels like a huge weight being lifted. It’s obvious that he is not in love with her like he was before. When she left him stranded at Weenie World he was really upset – now…not so much. Good.

Okay, I’m leaning toward the scenario that Gunther meets a new character (a student in the class he is the TA for) as a possible love interest. Or is that too obivious a trope?

So… Gunther will someday become an award-winning fashion designer. It’s just a matter of time.

Gunther seems to be quite satisfied with himself. Or is that just a brave exterior to hide the interior’s hurting from the loss of Bets?

Just restating and rehashing a fact but not necessarily a remorse in sight. Looks like a happy mutual decision for both. Time to turn the page to a new chapter. I can hardly wait…

Can’t stand Bets and Gunther is a shadow around her. Luann isn’t boring and Gun would be more interesting if he goes his own way minus Bets. He can then develop into the man he needs to be.
