What’s the punchline supposed to be? I would expect for this arc that Opal spent a week wondering why everyone was scared of her/thought she was mad until Saturday when she finally realized she’d accidentally drawn a scowling eyebrow. Since she already knows i don’t really get the point or what the payoff will be (or why she wouldn’t redraw the eyebrow)?
So, Opal? You know that thing in the bathroom that you were standing in front of while you did your makeup? It’s called a sink. And you know what sinks do when you turn the little knob or handle? It produces water. And usually where there’s a sink there’s this stuff called soap. When you mix the soap with water on a washcloth it makes a little foam. When you take that washcloth with foam to the makeup, it comes off. Soooo……WASH IT OFF ALREADY!!! Or if you have any cold creme, put a little of that on it. It usually works better.
I love makeup. It can enhance your nicer features like pretty eyes or downplay not so nice features like thin lips. It’s fun to play with the looks. I am told often that I look younger than my actual age.
I can hardly wait for the latest eyebrow fashion fad to disappear. I speak of the trend that has exchanged an “eyebrow pencil” for an “eyebrow wide-nib jiffy marker”. Somedays I really believe most women have zero idea of what looks attractive.
Everyone has forgotten about the most popular makeup user of all, Donald Trump. Garish orange face, outlandish cue ball coverup dyed “blond”, elevator shoes and Depends.

When you see the Gramma’s Eyebrow, you know she’s about to lay the Smacketh Down on… well, the candy is coming soon enough.

Why didn’t she wipe it off and drew a new one? (I will never get why women put all this paint in their faces)

“A little bit of soap Will wash away…” (The Jarmels, 1961) If she’s aware of the issue I’m surprised she didn’t correct it.

I don’t understand why she didn’t just redraw the eyebrow.

And to think that this required a previous strip, to set it up. Twice the space consumed, half the humor! Deeply discounted!

Even if you cover up her eyebrow, she does look kind of mad when she’s talking.

I’m surprised her bunny slippers didn’t bolt when they saw her scowl!

“No need to get angry. Calm down.” – Nelson “I am calm.” – Opal. “Grandma, I don’t care for your demeanor.” “Demeanor???”

Opal is getting lax about her appearance lately! LOL

Why didn’t she do the same with the other one, and tell him she was playing a Vulcan in the Community Theater?

Funny. I’m going to start using that excuse, to distract them from noticing the falling face skin.

Here’s a tip. Immediately remove pointy objects from the vicinity of your eye when you feel a sneeze coming on.
