Even though Mag is in a lot of danger, I have to say, that is a GREAT shot by Alice there in the last panel.

I see Agnes, Alice and Violet but who or what is standing next to Violet? Is it a mole? I see some red dots on it. It’s just very indistinct and it’s not like Georgia to make something so hard to identify.

Is that Violet in panel 4? And what is she hiding behind her????

I gotta say that Wicket’s technique is TERRIBLE: a skilled raptor would be closing in with his claws out, not beak first. All little Mag has to do is waaaiiiit for him to close in, do a quick side-step, and listen for the soul satisfying SMACK as he makes an epic face plant in the grass.

Me had tolds ya before to keeps flamethrower ready. But ya owl didn’t does that did ya. Too bad no kebab for ya owl now.

Someone should put on Natasha’s needle jacket and let Wicket have it in the mouth.

I don’t know, to me, the look on Mag’s face in that last panel is almost determination, not fear, but what do I know? Like she’s going to stand her ground and take Wicket on.

I’m confused about Wicket’s strategy. Obviously, he is coming in at an angle that puts the moon right behind him, making him highly visible. (If he had the sun at his back, he would be hidden by its glare.) Is this on purpose to instill terror in Mag? Or did Georgia just think the shadow on the ground was a cool effect?

This is the most scared I’ve been in BCN since the Man found Tillie’s remains (until he told the Woman the kitty’s death had been instant, I was afraid it would be unbearably sad).

Nice cliff-hanger.

Even a queen takes her crown off occasionally. They get heavy and/or they have to brush their hair, ah… fur.

So many cool angles in each panel! Amazing work as usual, Georgia.

Am I the only one who looks at panels 3 and 5 and hears the sound effect of a World War II German Stuka dive bomber? The Germans purposely equipped those planes with ram-air sirens on the wheel carriages to make that terrible noise.

Three things:

1. That would have to be a very bright crescent moon to give Wicket such a shadow. (Picky, picky, picky.)

2. In the last panel, Wicket has his face screwed up as if he is in pain, completely different from the third panel.

3. The white and blue streak in panel four is in front of him, not behind, indicating something going toward him, NOT the disturbed air of his passage. It also looks as if something is hitting him in the beak/nose.

I know owls are silent when they fly, but I’m hearing a Stuka as that bad old Wicket is swooping down to poor Magnet.

Wicket’s setting himself up for Baba Mouse and Queen Mag to give him a big whoopin’!

I’m really enjoying this arc.
