They say if you can get a “brain freeze” from ice cream, it will get rid of headaches… something about vascular pressure or some other scientific thing…
I was thinking that when kids routinely had the tonsil removed, they would be “lured in” by the promise of ice cream and Jell-O after the operation. Now I realize why I have a fear of hospitals. They never let you get any rest with all the ministrations that they do around the clock so you get better quick and get out or you end up resting in heavenly peace.
I’m enjoying lots of ice cream, in spite of the calendar indicating that it’s Winter. However I’ve found that it has no benefit for concussions. I’m into the the third month since bonking my head on the concrete patio in the backyard. Darn vicious little ladder! Luckily the headaches aren’t continuous, but come when I’ve been leaning over for any period of time.

I have ice cream in the freezer. Will I save the ice cream until Christmas like a good boy or will I not.

Unless you eat it too quickly and then you’re back to square one.

I suspect that it would exacerbate an ice cream headache. But it’s worth TRYING for pitysake.

If low blood sugar is the cause, it might help.

You can never eat icecream for breakfast UNLESS you place them on top of waffles!!! Then it is the perfect breakfast.

Not if you’re lactose intolerant. Or diabetic. Or both. Sigh… :-(

Eating ice cream very fast GIVES you a really bad headache/brain-freeze …..eating it very slowly should TAKE it away……perfectly logical

We keep a frozen pizza in our freezer which we refer to as our “emergency rescue pizza.”

The only ice cream I can eat, has to be sugar free and lactose free too. The sad part is, it’s far from “free”. Over $5.00 for a pint.
