They should have done that last year. Here in Minnesota, it didn’t stay cold long enough for the lake to freeze over. In an area that used to see snowfall as early as October and as late as May, we didn’t get snow this season until January and it all melted before the start of February. It rained the week of Christmas, and it’s due to rain before the end of this week.

The global climate is, and has been for thousands of years, in a continuing trend of glacial recession and desertification. This is not due to global warming. Local atmospheric warming does result from it, however. When taken in aggregate, it may be seen as global atmospheric warming. But the fact is that the atmosphere is the least part of climate, except in its role as the Aquarian conveyor, being the conduit by which water is moved inland to create glaciers and hydrate the land. If one is to calculate warming, with greenhouse gases being significant, one must entirely remove all the atmospheric cooling effects of fresh water, and of fresh water ice. As it is, the warming is so slight, if it exists, that it cannot be measured beyond the margin for error in measuring.

As for local weather, such as depicted above, that is weather. That is not climate.

In the 1970’s the experts declared we were going through a period of global cooling. We were in a process of entering a new ice age. BTW, remember hearing about last year being the ‘hottest’ on record. Turns out many of the measuring equipment is placed in places like runways of airports, middle of big cities in which temperatures are actually 10-15 degrees warmer than in the country.

When the climate hoaxers stop flying in private jets and stop buying waterfront property, I might listen. Oh, and , Greta told us the date when it would be too late to do anything about the climate. That date passed last Summer, yet she’s still out there grifting.

Americans miss the point on Global Climate Change. It exists and man is the cause. Ninety nine percent of scientists who studied, trained and spent their lives on it agree. It is called “settled science” and your ignorant “feelings “ on the subject don’t matter. What democracy gives you the right to decide is what we do about the FACT of man made global climate change. That is where you can infect the rest of us with your stupidity.

Climate deniers are not denying climate change. They are denying that CO2 emissions are a significant contributor to that change. And their are many facts to support this; such as: No one is asking India nor China to reduce their carbon emissions. The climate change advocates take private jets from ocean front properties to vacation areas to discuss the problem when they could use zoom and should want to get away from the coastal regions; so they do not act as though then even believe it. There are scientific reasons as well but the real movers behind it are politcal.

Pick any day where the temperature is below normal and that’s proof that “global warming” is fake news. Some places are hotter, some places are cooler, some places are dryer and some places are wetter. It’s called “Climate Change.”

The overall trend is to be warmer. Deniers tell us that this is merely a continuation of the thawing we’ve had for the past 10,000 years since the last ice age. Until you look at a chart showing the warming. It’s a nice gently rising slope for 10,000 years (with some wiggles) that suddenly skyrockets over the past 150 years.

I recall a statement by Trump during a particularly cold snap in the Northeastern United States. He said that this was proof that global warming was a hoax. He picked a particularly bad day to make this statement. The other 94% of the planet had warmer than average temperatures on that day. Data Analysis – MAGA-style.

The fossil fuel industry and companies are paying huge sums of money to create dangerous doubt that their products are harmful to consumers and our environment. The real hoax is that everything is well and good. They want to control the narrative while storms get worse and sea levels rise.

Since I am an optimist, I look at the bright side of MAGA-T stupidity.

Nearly twice as many Republicans died from Covid-19 than Democrats did, a new study has found. The initial takeaway is that nearly double the number of Republicans died than Democrats did during the pandemic, and the evidence suggests that vaccine adoption was a key contributing factor to those deaths. – The Independent 11/17/22

Enough of them have already ignored that liberal conspiracy we call “science” to give the Arizona governorship to the Democrats. Let’s hope they keep doing their “own research” through this fall.

Remember, the vaccine lets Bill Gates track your movements!

Yes, climate has always changed… but it’s the change in the rate of change that’s important and that is caused by man and could be fixed by man. Just like we started to clear up so much pollution in the 70’s and mostly stopped damaging the ozone layer so it could start to repair itself.

Here’s a chart that helps highlight the impact by man and the industrial revolution on the rate of change:

    https://xkcd.Com/1732/

And while it’s a comic, the data points are based on actual facts (as opposed to what “facts” the usual trolls pull out of their collective backsides).
