If someone is dead, is rest the best option? If there is life after death, maybe the person would rather to go to a party and dance.

Rat, I wish you adventure and soon!

Probably because they don’t want that person back in any other shape or form.

Rest his soul refers to rest, as in sabbath rest, I believe. The hope is that soul enters sabbath rest, rather than the unrest of being apart from God.

Rat’s right, when you die, that’s it.

They also say he’s gone to heaven though they still go and visit the body he’s no longer using. It’s all very strange.

I think Hell is more adventurous than Heaven. In Heaven, you just sit on a cloud playing a harp. But in Hell, every Demon is out to get you and you have to find your escape. So, sure, Rat! I wish you a lot of adventures… Down there. :D

Rat, the adventure is what happens right before you die.

I once saw “Now comes the adventure” on a list of famous last words, but a quick search of Bing is coming up empty.

When I die I hope there’s still a lot that can be done with my body, ideally some parts may end in other peoples bodies giving them a better quality of life for some time. On the other hand I intend to reach 100 years so chances are that I won’t be completely myself then.

Rest refers to souls being at peace. When Rat goes, everyone he knows will be at peace

I’m with him. Heck with this resting thing. I teach at a Benedictine Catholic Seminary in Canada and told them I literally HATE the prayer, “Eternal Rest Grant Unto Them O Lord, and Let Perpetual Light Shine Upon Them and May they Rest in Peace” and when they say a Mass for me when I die, I don’t want that prayer being said. After I die, I want action and fun in my work, that I want to do and that needed to gets done…..

Per Ecclesiastes 9:5 (KJV), neither Rat nor anyone else will have adventure!
