No Vale she not a doctor, but evidently this has happen to her before.

A little fun fact Vale is a more popular name for a Girl then a Boy in the United States.

Luann will be a great caretaker, in whatever capacity she chooses. Vale, on the other hand, will not.

Is that guy a new love interest for Luann?

Luann might become a doctor. A nice story to tell Shannon at a PG level by Aunt Luann!

Not sure about G&K’s intentions for the Vale character, but since he is cast as such a dim bulb he is at least depicted with the redeeming characteristic of respect for the knowledgeable authority he perceives in Luann and associates with his image of a licensed medical practitioner. It doesn’t excuse his prior history of plagiarism, but perhaps it offsets his initial “bull-in-a-china-shop” approach to Mrs.Horner’s fainting spell.

I wish that stupid oaf would disappear, already! He doesn’t belong in college!

So is a possible romance going to start between Luann and Vale?

I’m don’t care for Vale because he clearly was a jerk when he used Luann to cheat on his homework.

Vale is getting pretty handsy there in the last panel.

This is so sweet. Mrs Horner wakes up and the first thing she sees is the smiling faces of her students who reassure her. Luann smiles at her, holds her hand and she feels sorry for making everyone worried. Mrs Horner is a wonderful person and everyone loves her. Luann has been and continues to be amazing, it’s nice to see that Vale now has a very high opinion of her, probably the whole class is with him. Dunno if Luann will become a doctor, but it would be nice. Hope Luann can go with her at the hospital.

It would be great to have Luann find her career as a doctor. This comic pretty much aims people kind of at mid-level careers, so it would be good to have someone, and especially Luann, go for a high, tough profession. She’d get a lot of skepticism from her “friends”, and finally her mom or dad could have the talk where they’d say she is capable of a lot more than she ever thought she could do, but they knew she would succeed if she really wanted to. Let’s get some focus back on Luann, and not in a dull, boring way!

So who is Vale, and why is he suddenly a main character?

Is Luann going to be a doctor? Has she found her calling?

Luann is such a good person.

I quit. I’ve back to reading from the beginning. I’ll check back once/week. This arc is pathetic.

EMT tuition a lot cheaper than a bachelor’s in something. Nursing has a higher rate of return though.

Luann is really good at this…it cracks me up how obvious someone’s talents are to others while that someone has no clue…

So far, Vale is a morals lacking homework cheater, who, because he hated Mrs.Horner, was going to crush her into dust with CPR, and is destined to become Luann’s stalker and it’s all a shame because he doesn’t even belong in college anyway.

Ladies and gentleman, take a deep breath and unclutch those pearls before they’re crushed into dust. ;)

I know that guy – he’s Noah Vale !

I’m not familiar with Vale’s past, but his present is quite good. He’s willing to give aid to the stricken, can recognize Luann’s real potential, and shows kindness.

First responders will be there soon. Johnny Gage will call in to Dix, who will tell Dr. Early and have him run some Ringer’s Lactate and D5W and transport her

Luann is not going to become a doctor or marry Vale. She can barely get through community college and she does not have the drive or intelligence to get into medical school. And just because she has a conversation with a guy does not mean anything.

Mrs Horner probably injured something on her fall when she hit the floor.

Yeah, they tell me if I fall down to stay down until help arrives. If I hit my head I could get hemorrhaging in my brain. The one time I did fall down I broke my neck in two places and didn’t realize it until several hours later.

I predict Luanne DeGroot MD as her next evolution!!

I think I see a new romance stirring. I wonder how Luann will screw this one up.

Oh, she just ‘fainted’. No stroke, no heart attack, no appendicitis, not even low blood sugar, just ‘fainted’. A 92-year-old woman collapses out of nowhere (presumably hitting her head on the ground in the process) and the aftermath is just her waking up groggy like it was a long nap.

Good grief… the Evansii are so allergic to anything with real stakes they make RMMD’s ‘MaH DoG aTe tEh BrOWniES and its ALL mY FauLT!’ storyline look like the peak of ‘ER’.

Luann could do well as an emergency responder, because she keeps her head in a crisis and has good generalized skills.

mrs horner can look up, see her former student, and know she, the student, will be ok.

Luann did handle the situation exceptionally well.

Puppy love.

So, Luann is the hero, and poor Wilbur Weston melts down over a dead fish!

I wonder if all of this is just Luann’s creative writing story. It seems exceptionally flattering to her. Next week, on Luann ER, Luann operates on her own inoperable tumor! Will she survive long enough to meet her evil twin?! Tune in to find out!

If this doctor thing is a new story arc and considering the pace of time in this strip I should be dead by the she graduates med school.

She wants to get up because the folded pocket knife in the jacket is poking her in the neck.

“Like a doctor” is not good enough. Luann also better be “like a lawyer”, if something goes wrong.
