Right after Jaws came out, a friend and I were out on inflatable rafts and a fin cut through the water. We immediately started paddling as fast as we could. It was a dolphin. I may have peed a little.

If he sees a large fin coming in his direction, I figure he’ll leave more than water on the way out.

If you see an extra large fin in the water – it may be your FIN….ISH!

If I saw a fin in the sand, I’d pick it up.

For every 100 million sharks killed per year, about six to eight humans are killed by sharks each year.

Sharks are being killed at a faster rate than they can reproduce. Mostly due to popularity of shark fin soup in China and other Asian countries.

Sharks are an essential part of a healthy ocean environment. And your chances of being killed by one are so low as to be non-existent for all practical purposes.

In fine print at the bottom of the sign, it says, Topeka, KS Parks and Recreation Dept…

Simple advice is often good advice.

He probably will leave water, especially if it’s close.
