It’s the First Aid Kit currently advocated as the best by republicans.

If the leeches is still alive, it is not too old.

Next first aid kit he finds will contain a witch doctor’s headdress.

Honey’s antiseptic n literally keeps forever, try the probly delicious elixirs!!

Elixirs are great. You’re supposed to drink them, and they usually have a high volume of alcohol.

And a handy knife for some bloodletting.

And a hacksaw for amputations.

This first aid kit kind of sucks.

No tinctures?

One of my favorite (absolutely NSFW) comics had a sign outside the doctor’s shack that said, “Take two leeches and see me in the morning. If you can’t be bothered to put the lid back on the leech jar, you don’t deserve proper health care.”

Machete.

And leeches are still in use…

Just how old is the the space station R.U. Sirius? If the old first aid kit is for Doc Barber to do bloodletting and applying leeches, launched in 1800? Then again modern medicine in 21 century is in fact not much better. Back in the 1950’s doctors said by the 21 century, they would have a cure for all diseases and life expectancy would be well over 100. The only thing that went up was the Doctor bill!

Yes, leeches do have medical benefit in some situations even with today’s modern medicine. As for the “elixirs”…depends which ones.

But that’s just the thing to get your humors back in balance.

Leeches are actually useful in some applicatons. Elixirs are now all in the “supplements” aisle, where you can claim anything you want as long as the fine print disclaimer is on the label.

Probably Cliff’s, he does suck the life out of everything.

Ask your doctor if leeches are right for you.

I’m just going to assume that this first aid kit is an antique collectible that belongs to the ship’s doctor.

1. How did that end up on the space station? And 2. Are the leeches still alive or dead and rotting or mummified?

I recently cleaned out and updated one of my first aid kits. I swear that I found a Band-Aid that had the red pull string!
