Once the colleges were flooded with sports money it was inevitable it would all crash.

I’m waiting for the first cancelled college football season because of a strike.

Stop giving scholarships and calling them students.

What’s ridiculous is that you have to go to college if you want a football career.

I didn’t let my classes interfere with my education.

But Arlo, the athletes are already paid obscene salaries from the obscene revenues generated by the fans and advertisers who keep paying more and more into whatever sport.

For years, I have said one thing about college football: it should not exist. Every benefit that sports activity offers to human beings can be amply provided on an intramural basis. Intercollegiate athletics has become intensely destructive to the institutions it purports to serve. It does not serve them. They serve it.

Ha ha! There should be an actual playoff! That “final four” are handpicked for commercial reasons, to draw in that all important revenue. A great playoff tournament would be to use the bowl games as “rounds of playoffs”. The lesser bowl games would be the opening rounds, as the winning teams would advance to more popular bowl games until the championship game, which in my opinion could be the “Granddaddy of them all”, the “Rose Bowl”. Then we could see a dark horse team maybe make a true “final four”, just as exciting as it is in college basketball, everybody love an underdog!

Well, Arlo, we don’t know if the expanded playoff will be positive or negative. But the NIL payments and transfer portal are definitely changing everything.

Women spout out a steady stream of what they are thinking unless it is sexual. Men just say “yes dear”.

It wasn’t just you. There are always unintended, unknown, consequences……

Expanded? Not good. Let’s go back to path of reason and righteousness, where the only thing that mattered was whether Ohio State or Michigan would lose to UCLA in the Rose Bowl.

They weren’t “unforeseen”. Anyone with critical thinking skills saw the issues coming a mile away.

Obscene amounts of money generated for the College &/or University and the average students tuition continue to skyrocket. Greed, plain and simple.

Actually, collegiate sports should go back to its ORIGINAL purpose – to provide healthful “exercise” for ALL students – it should NEVER have been turned into a “cash cow” for the administration…

In truth, and pure “generalization” ….men never know when to say ANYTHING especially the RIGHT thing, and women say EVERY comment that comes to mind, burying the really BRILLIANT things they have to say in a torrent that shuts down the mind of the overloaded male listener.

They should not be generating obscene revenue. It is apparent several colleges are making way too much as nearly every single game of the year they have a different uniform!

You can’t do just ONE thing.
