The FIRST sign of a good stroke is that you have to actually BE in a rowboat. The second is you have to grab the oars and really put your back into it, and repeat. STROKE…..STROKE.
F is for face:smile and see if one side droops. Possible sign of muscle weakness or paralysis.A for arm: Raise both arms. If one drops down it’s a sign of one sided weakness.S for speech: say a short sentence and check for slurred or strange speech. You can have trouble talking and choosing your words.T for time: If the answer to any of these is yes you should call 911 right away. Remember to check the time and write down when you first noticed any of these stroke signs.
I don’t put my phone in my back pocket, so when I feel tingling in the nether regions, I know it is my sciatic nerve saying “You’ve been sitting at the computer too long! Get off your rear and go do something useful for a change!” Nag, nag, nag…
Always remember FAST-G or BEFAST for a stroke. Facial drooping, Arm weakness, Slurred speech, Time of when it started and for EMS Glucose. Though some say Gaze. Balance, Eyes, Gaze, Arms, Speech and Time of onset/Time to call 911. Strokes are terrifying

LoL. You would think that after all these years of reading Pickles I would have learned by now not to take a sip of coffee before reading.

Patient: Doc, I get this warm, tingling sensation in my hands whenever I pee. What’s wrong with me? Doctor: Try to aim better.

The FAST acronym (Face, Arms, Speech, Time) is a test to quickly identify if someone is having a stroke.
Face weakness: Can the person smile? …
Arm weakness: Can the person raise both arms?
Speech problems: Can the person speak clearly and understand what you say?
Time to call 999: if you see any of these signs.
