We? Couch surfing? And a number of commenters here don’t like my idea of an open adoption where Brad and Toni legally become Shannon’s parents.

Jonah is a odd fish. I would adopt Shannon.

Where were they living before? In a cardboard box?

Where was he living that he couldn’t find room to set up his recording equipment (a booth being optional. And why does it sound like TJ will be evicted to make room from the original Jonah and Shannon?

Toni wants a little one around. But she hasn’t encountered the 0-to-2-years-old part of the kid-raising game. Not as much fun but lots of work and little sleep.

I find it hard to believe ALL of his stuff could even fit in his car too.

How come we’ve never heard of Rudy before? Looks like he’s had more options than just Toni & Brad after all.

I’m guessing that dad and daughter will return ere long from couch surfing at Rudy’s to drop daughter off at Brad & Toni’s again but WITH a new puppy in tow! (Ya heard it here first!)

While Jonah doesn’t appear deliberately disingenuous, his fully-packed vehicle does indicate planning that he never even hinted at to his helpful sister and her husband who have provided stable home care for his daughter. One might infer that he is avoiding an overdue discussion about responsible childrearing and schooling for Shannon. He is close to being reported to Child Protective Services for lack of responsible parental planning. If followed accurately, this would not really be an entertaining story arc.

Couch surfing means they are homeless and relying on friends. Just how soon does he need this room for work?If he made good money, then he should be able to rent an adequate home pronto.

If Rudy lives nearby, maybe Shannon could still hang out with Kim—providing her b!tch mother doesn’t interfere.

Does Jonah actually believe that he’s imposed on Brad and Toni long enough concerning the care of HIS daughter? Can’t believe he’s grown up that much!

I’m beginning to wonder if we are in the middle of a major reconstruction of “Luann.” This current story line seems to be going on forever, and with Jonah apparently homeless there seems a strongly likelihood that he will move in with Brad and Ton,i with TJ given the boot. At which point the series will be 100% tales of Shannon..

What puts me in this mood was a story that Greg got the idea for “Luann” while acting the antics of his then 9 year old daughter. For some reason while preparing the strip for syndication he up-aged Luann to 13. But his fascination with the demonic Shannon suggests that he remains obsessed with that 9 year old. He’s push the original 4 year old Shannon to 6 years old. This past month has seem her turned into a model child suitable for a newspaper strip. And considering that neither Greg or Karen can come up with interesting stories for Luann, or even Tiffany or Bets suggests all the old cast is heading for the Memory Hole while Shannon reigns.

But, Sheesh! I hope I’m wrong.

Jonah’s car appears to have no door and no front (which should be visible between his legs). It also has an old British license plate for some reason…

Shannon is cool with anywhere as long as there are puppies.

Rudy, the Glove maker? He once made gloves for circus clowns. When they wouldn’t pay him up front his wife said “Rudy, don’t take your gloves to Clowns”.

I feel that the name of this comic should be changed from Luann to Shannon.

Brad and Toni are really gonna miss Shannon.

In the last panel Toni was ready to keep enabling her brother.

Shannon’s dream of having a puppy could come true soon, Nice! But I think she’ll miss her dear aunt and uncle over time. I wonder if Jonah will find a house on the same street as his sister or far, far away. It’s easy to see that Toni and Brad will miss Shannon terribly. Maybe that could be what finally pushes them to try to have kids.

I see where this is going. Heck, Toph Bei Fong, Ray Charles and Geordi La Forge can see where this is going….

This goes on, and on, and on.

No more Shannon? At least, now Toni and Brad realize they’re ready and willing to be parents. Coming soon, pregnant Toni!

Looks like Mr. Stability is at it again. So, Jonah and Shannon are basically homeless.

The final panel is rather densely packed. Those who foresaw/champion B&T adopting Shannon get some new fuel for their argument. Kids and puppies need stability above all but the basics of air, food, water and shelter.

Jonah is the shady one. Won’t be long before Shannon is back with Brad and Toni. Seems she has lived longer with them than with her own father.

Well, Greg didn’t have anuone acknowledge Shannon’s cards/posters. Shame shame. no wonder she gets bratty – lack of attention.

Classic misdirection play! Puppies or stability? Their own desire to have a child, while perhaps realizing this is what they want? So many ways this can fly.

what is it with Jonah that when he makes a good decision, he then takes a step back. One, why pack up all your stuff when you don’t even know where you’re moving to? Two, wouldn’t couch surfing at Brad and Toni’s be better than you both doing it at Rudy’s, even if his dog just had puppies. At least at Brad and TOni’s, Shannon has her own room

Shannon’s hair looks longer. Must have been a LONG conversation between daily strips.At this rate, the next time we see Shannon, she’ll be a full-grown teenager, like when Luann grew up overnight about 25 years ago (and shocked everyone at the start of school).

Am I the only one who thinks it strange that he would make himself (and his daughter) homeless while he looks for a new place?

It looks like there is another option/offer on a place to stay coming..

Sounds to me like Dad is embracing being just that. Let’s give him a chance to excel & let B & T have their own.

The drawing is top notch, but the story line writer has totally lost direction and needs a compass. What is this obsession with Shannon?

Jonah and Shannon are quickly heading toward being a homeless family. His cell phone won’t be working soon, they’ll be staying with friends when possible and sometimes sleeping in the car. He’ll make it all into a big adventure, and talk about how they’re going to stick together through thick and thin. The house with the puppies helped him seal the deal.

So he just moved all of his stuff out of his place without having another place lined up?? I’m guessing this comic does not acknowledge current rent prices just like they didn’t add the pandemic to the storyline.

I have to wonder about her school situation, where does she go on a regular basis.

This makes no sense. (1) Isn’t Shannon old enough to need to be in school? (2) Who packs up their belongings in a car to move to nowhere? Unless they are evicted? (3) Who couch surfs with a young kid in tow (who is this Rudy)? (4) Why has Jonah suddenly decided to not dump his daughter with Brad & Toni?

Is Toni afraid Jonah won’t need her as much any longer? I’d say they both need to move on.

When you have children, they could have any of the qualities of any of you extended gene pool. The genius brother with the wonderful personality, or the drug addict with emotional problems. My parents had 11 kids, all turned out with different qualities. Toni could easily have a child with the disposition of Jonah.
