Should old people vote for their own interest or the the interest of young people? It is not unreasonable to care what happens to young people.

I live a few blocks from Kansas, and YES I frequently wonder what’s wrong with Kansas. Of course, there appears to be an epidemic of people voting for corporate welfare queens who would gladly feed them to the deepest of all deep sewer monsters, and expect them to be properly grateful for the privilege…..

Another cartoon magats will never understand.

They have no idea what their own interests are.

    .

They know they are getting shafted and that they continue to get shafted.

But they have no idea how they got shafted and no idea who did it.

    .

They actually believe that giant corporations, who offshored their jobs and brought in massive amounts of ‘legals’ to take jobs they couldn’t offshore are going to save them and restore them to their previous positions.

By giving even more money to those same giant corporations.

    .

Meanwhile, their candidate is unable to answer simple questions and his vice presidential choice believes childless women should not be able to teach, vote, or hold any job with responsibilities.

    .

And they believe Russia is their friend and Ukraine their enemy.

And that Trump is a Christian.

I vote against my own interests all of the time. I vote for a better economy. I vote for a secure border. I vote for fewer regulations. I vote for following the US Constitution. I vote for no censorship. I vote for a non-weaponized DOJ. I vote for lower taxes for all. I vote for a strong, non-woke military. Yep, those things are all against my interests.

Texans have voted in Republicans to fix Texas. Republicans run on the fact they will fix Texas for the last 27 years or more they have been in power. I guess people just keep voting for them to see when this will actually happen.

His Highness, Prince Buttercup. AKA Blahblah, the Worst is obviously failing mentally. The debate will be an interesting match up between logic and illogic. The ABC presentation will make a kind of history. Just hope they don’t follow the CNN example and load it with commercials breaks or allow space for the so-called ‘news analysts.’ Those things will break the thread of the debate and its tone.

Let’s mess with the political process! RFK sued the state to get ON the ballot and now that the absentee ballots are already printed and about to go out he’s suing the state again to get OFF the ballot. The court said NO so, if at first you don’t succeed, appeal, and appeal again. They’re attempting to delay if not abolish early and absentee voting

This Great Nation was Founded by Liberals and based on Liberal principles, Liberal Ideals and Liberal values.

conservatives opposed our independence in 1774. conservatives opposed our constitution. conservatives quit the U.S. in 1860. conservatives invaded, made war and killed U.S. soldiers from 1861 to 1865. A conservative killed Lincoln. Every Republican/conservative president since 1929 has had a depression or recession, some had two. The only president to resign his office in disgrace of being a crook was a conservative. conservatives opposed women’s right to vote. conservatives opposed, and still oppose, social security and Medicare. The only violent transition of power came in 2021 supported by conservatives and led by the fascist insurrectionist tRump. conservatives still defend and support him and his insurrection.

conservatives are the enemy of the United States of America, and have been since 1774.

Republicans have to lie and cheat any way that they can or they will cease to exist. Intimidating voters and dropping people from voting rolls are just their methods. In phone surveys, when people are given a choice on issues that affect their daily life, taken from both Republican and Democratic Party publications, those who identify themselves as Democrats agree with the Democrats about 80% of the time. Independents do too, about 58% of the time. The weird thing is that 42% of Republicans agree with the Democratic positions too, unless they are told which is which. Then they fall into line and agree with the Republicans 78% of the time. People who identify as Republicans make up somewhere between 30% and 42% of the voters, depending on the year. It’s currently way down. 78% of 42% is 33%. The Republicans would never win another national election with those odds. So, the Republicans have to keep as many people from voting as possible, and keep the rest of them confused enough to vote against their own best interests.

This is the mistake Democrats always make. These Republicans are NOT “voting against their interests.” Rather, their interests are not the same as yours.

You might value things like economic prosperity, women’s rights, freedom, equity, and the like. But they don’t. They give up so much in order to get what they want even more. Stop seeing them through your filter and values, and try to see them through theirs. You don’t have to agree with them, nor even accept their views. But if you’re striving to understand why they do what they do and support whom they support, it will help you to stop evaluating them with your values.

Now that the lecture has concluded, here’s your homework: What DO they value and vote for? (C’mon, it’s an easy one.)
