Most of us suffered a form of post traumatic stress disorder during the former guy’s administration. There are many who are willfully ignorant enough to want that back.
In a couple of months, it will all be over, half of us will be happy, the other half will just have to abide another four years – - – and life goes on.
Unfortunately, all the yelling and screaming won’t be over in five weeks, especially if Trump loses. In that case, there will be more accusations of election fraud.
The election anxiety comes from the real fear that many will be restricted and unable to vote. For others, the fear is that while their candidate may win the popular vote by a landslide, the anachronistic Electoral College system will put their opponent in office.
However, I believe the true American election trepidation lies in the uncertainty of how violently the MAGA-Right will react – win or lose. Hope for the best but expect the worst.
The left is anxious that people will be awake and not woke… the right is anxious that people care less about reality and what is good for the nation and more about how they FEEL about mean comments.
I’m fine with election. It is the millions of people supporting Trump that is making me anxious. I simply do not understand how anyone can vote for the guy, he lies, he is a rapist, a bully, ignorant, so insecure he is easily manipulated, he cheated on his wife just after she gave birth to their child, for sale, lacks common decency… Why, oh why does anyone make him President. Again!
I have come to the conclusion that NEITHER candidate is at all “right for the job” (nor are their VP picks) and I admit it has come down to which is the LEAST objectionable… Having stated that in my not so humble opinion the BOTH are a disaster in the making… one of the few options left, and I know it’s a long shot I now feel we should write-in Cheech & Chong. They would still screw things up but at least we’d get a few laughs out of it…
Lots more. I wish I could start wandering with a Harris sign on one shoulder and a Trump sign on the other until I found a place where they all said “Who are those people?” And never leave.
The people in Philadelphia are pretty angry with Kamala, because even though she personally mopped the floor after, she got the whole floor covered with orange…;)

These days, I see elections as a “lesser of two evils” type of thing. Everyone sucks, the question is who sucks less.

Will probably need even more after the election if the next president is a primping posing Ugandan head hunter. God Save America.

Fast & Frugal Blocks to Misinformation
1. Is a source of the information listed – If not, reject source.
2. Does the source have the expertise to make the claim – If not, reject source.
3. Is there consensus among relevant experts about the accuracy of the info – If not, reject source.
Almost all of the social media misinformation doesn’t survive these tests (most can’t make it past the first challenge).

Only need two. One tied to each of the two candidates. Then, maybe, someone more suitable will step forward.
