Something to ponder: among the talented comic strips artists here, we have a Rickard and a Pastis. But anyone who has ever drank Ricard knows that Ricard is Pastis. So…

Sort of think that all the criticism restricting “mansplaining,” is a contributing factor in the “dumbing down” of society.

If a man explains mansplaining is that mansplaining?

“Man-splaining” is a specific kind of condensation. For instance, every time it’s the punchline of a comic here, I object. I am not man-splaining for a number of reasons, for one thing the cartoonist is male, but also because I’m not telling him how his job is done. I’m being semantic. Man-splaining is not a guest speaker explaining what a guest speaker is. A male audience member interrupting a female guest speaker to explain what a guest speaker is and what she’s supposed to be talking about is “man-splaining.”

Thank you for mansplaining semantics. I sure do feel more smarter now.

This isn’t anger management. It’s more like torture management. Can she best the mansplainer without losing control? Should she have to?

“See, ladies” would seem to imply either that the entire anger management class is female or that MS is being really insulting.

Given how some female political figures talk like preschool teachers to their audiences, perhaps “mansplaining” is a misnomer.

So far the course is working, she managing to find new ways to get angry.

Maybe it’s an initial quiz to establish her baseline responses…? Just askin’….

The reason women don’t Womensplain is that Women never explain anything. They expect men to magically pick up what they are allegedly thinking through the ether.
