All the people who’ve used the phrase “When pigs fly” had better watch out.

This was possible only in the middle of a Pink Floyd concert.

Look up in the skies. It a bird. It a plane. No no. It Soooper Ham!

According to historicengland dot org, JTC More Brabazon was the pilot of the first cargo flight. He securely strapped a piglet into a wicker basket which was then secured to one of the struts of Brabazon’s plane. A sign read, “I am the first pig to fly.”

I thought I saw a pig fly when I looked up into the sky, then it hit me right between my eyes.

Pigs really can fly.

It does help to live in a comic strip. And two things can be true. Inductive reasoning is fine for most purposes, but there might always be one counter example out there somewhere, sometime.

When I was a little kid, there was a Superman Halloween costume that came with a warning that it would not enable the wearer to fly, so don’t even try. That was well before such warnings became common, and my parents wondered what exactly had inspired it…

I need to keep that happy thought.
