Okay, Ora Zella (and Lupin, for that matter) are not currently trying to open the door. This is a good thing. Let’s see if we can keep it that way while Iggy does his decoding thing!
I fear that Puck and Elvis are under the control of the aliens. They may be commanded to open the door. If so, will the blanket fort be enough to save the kits? Or will the be doomed?
Lupin is doing such a good job taking care of the kids. He’s working so hard to keep that smile on his face. But in the last panel you can see the concern in his eyes. Hang in there, Lup.
Well, even if the roombas get inside, they’d be no match for a spicy tortie. All Ora Zella needs is a spatula and then FLIP!! flip! … flip! … flippity-flip!!
Oh dear. We’ve been assuming that Lupin has been protected because he can’t hear the signal. Once Iggy breaks the code so that Lupin can see it, will he come under the spell, too?
Sophititi: Let’s take a look at this part of the tapestry. It appears to be decorated with a diamond. I think it might be one of Fe-Anaro’s jewels.
Maat-Tilda: And there’s a whole group of hieroglyphs.
Iggy: I think these two are vowels. This one that appears by itself must be an I.
Adobe Style: I think you’re right. And I’m guessing this other vowel must be an E.
Beatrixia: So this line right here reads:
?i?? i? ?i I ??ee ?e?.
Iggy: And some of the consonants appear multiple times. Like the consonants at the end of the first word are the same as those at the beginning of the second and next-to-last words.
Bea: So let’s use x and y for the consonants. I would look like this:
?ixy xyi? ?i?? I xyee ?e?
Tillie: And the first letter of the first word is the same as the first letter of the last word. So let’s call that letter z. Our sentence would be:
Tortimer might help break the code. Iggy may identify vowels and consonants, and see patterns, but if it’s not English, he can’t translate the meaning. Tortimer speaks Roomba.
I love that last panel. Lupin’s trying so hard. He may be a toddler and a force of chaos, but he’s such a good boy. You can see he’s worried in every panel, but he’s still trying to keep everyone upbeat and focused. Even with mind-controlled Elvis and Puck wandering around in the background, which is a great touch.
Go, Iggy, go! You’ve got this! Look at your clever flashcards (probably sticky notes?) all lined up.
Great job Lupin! Directing everyone to safety, and being a calm voice of reason and assurance. It’s not we haven’t seen him take charge and be protective in the past. He just tends to be a little more chaotic about it.
It took several years but I finally saw the episode, of “World’s Funniest Animals” with a kitten on a Roomba. I didn’t like the show because of all the commentary and because there were too many dogs and not enough cats, but I’ve finally given in and started watching. When I don’t have a full half-hour left before bedtime, I can watch any number of videos.
I recently posted another one of my historic cooking videos — with a cameo from The Prince of Bartness. It’s at www. youtube. com/ watch?v=9CAN7vNzqb4 (remove spaces) — he shows up around 2:38.

It was a good idea to get into the blanket fort. Blankets provide protection from monsters, and those alien Roombas count as monsters.

The end of the Pumpkin story was near
When quite accidentally,
A Cat who sneezed abruptly seized
Retreat and reversed it to a new story.
His story line change pleased and thrilled
his proud little family group.
While reporting on it some food was spilled
And so it was planned he’d command F Troop.
Where tusslemania fights are colorful sights
and nobody takes a lickin’
Where Siamese and Tabby
Both turn chicken.
When reporting and fighting get them down,
They know their morale can’t droop.
As long as they all relax in the living room
Before they resume with a bang and a boom
F Troop.

Tom Jones: Delilah
I saw the green light shining ominous, bright through the window
I saw my Papa and Father in a possessed by the light through the blind!
They are my family!
I decided to fight back with all I could find!
…….
My, beloved family!
Try to save my family!
I can see that we need help from Bea!
Iggy, Lupin, and the kids will help to set them all free!
…….
All through the night we worked to set right what had happened
Destry betrayed us and he opened the door
Evil green roombas!
Under our blanket we plan to even the score!
…….
My, beloved family!
Try to save my family!
So before, they go and break down the door
Please hurry, dear Iggy so they have their secrets no more!
