I hope you all had great Halloweens. Shelagh and I only had three kids coming to our door this year. So we have lots of candy left over. We just finished watching Bell, Book and Candle—-not quite a Halloween movie—but a fun, witchy rom-com with James Stewart and Kim Novak at her very sexiest.

Don’t sweat it. Donald promised I would NEVER have to vote again if he is elected. What’s more, if I just change genders, he promises to protect me whether I like it or not!!
I voted over a week ago, choosing the party of reality and sanity, instead of the party that wants to smash everything to pieces without regard for the consequences.
I’m glad I live in a state that encourages voting. Our politicians keep making it easier instead of making it harder. So regardless of how hard it is to vote in your election district, vote. Make your voice heard!
As a native New Yorker, I had the dubious pleasure of watching Donnie go from local joke to national menace.
I remember when satire magazine ‘Spy’ sought out the cheapest New Yorker. They set up an actual checking account and sent out checks worth about $2.00 to a bunch of big shots.
Most didn’t bother with the $2.00 checks, but a few did. So Spy lowered the sum, and kept lowering. Donald Trump, alleged billionaire and Master Of The Universe, cashed a personal check for 13 cents. At the time, a newspaper or comic book cost about 50 cents.
As we handed out candy to the last of hundreds of kids last night, the cold began to creep in, along with the realization that we are about to go to war against ourselves in less than a week. Only solution was to binge on the left over Kit-Kats and scream.
It’s been two weeks? since Trump promised to install tariffs with the implication that there would be plenty of money to run the government without taxes and that other countries would pay for them.
In that time, there have been NO COMMENT FROM ANY MAGAT about tariffs that I have seen.
Do they even know what a tariff is? Can such a large group of people possible be THAT ignorant?

Hate to say it, but this was the
first time I felt we really needed
“NONE OF THE ABOVE”
as an option.
I signed up to vote when Obama ran a 2nd time and couldn’t do it fast enough. Like or hate him; he had the spunk, drive and clarity that a leader should have especially one in charge of such a massive and powerful entity like United States. I am not averse to a woman leader but feel Harris does not project strength and power but then perhaps these are different times ?… Thatcher, I feel, had that power. Mrs. Clinton may also but I think she suffered from how people felt about her during her 1st lady years and others, I would think, of her performance as NY State Senator ? I voted for her nonetheless. That Biden took rumpy is very telling as I saw him as more of a background guy during his VP years.

I voted, and then lit a votive candle for American Democracy, lest it is soon dead.

Bell Book and Candle! I loved that movie. I was just tentatively entering puberty, and Kim Novak gave me a hard shove right on fully into it.

It’s the reaction to the election when Kamala gets blown out of her political scam called a career. Then be afraid very afraid.
