If The Messiah wins, elections will no longer be in doubt — if there even are elections.

At least Elon Musk is starting his court date today, for violating campaign laws. Sure that’s a drop of water for a massive forest fire, but it’s something.

If you really want people to have a sleepless election night then the president should be elected by popular vote. That way the networks would be able to call the vote until the polls close in Alaska and Hawaii.

I have a long day ahead tomorrow as I am a poll worker.

I’m rather simple minded about the whole thing. I want a straight up popular vote. No gimmicks.

It used to be that election day meant the elections were over.

Now, especially in Washington state, it’s just the beginning of “election season.”

They continue to count (and find) votes for weeks.

In this election w have the real possibility of being visited by Krampus bringing a lump of coal and a switch.

Hallowe’en was scary. Tomorrow will be worse and it will not give way to celebrations for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Folk anticipate Xmas eve with joy and pleasure. Election day eve, not so much anymore with the insanity created by Trump since 2016.

I’m trying so hard to avoid it until it’s “over”. Not that it will end on Tuesday. Ugh.

I like it!

The difference being, I never dreaded the day after Christmas.

And a shocking number of people want an unrealized concept of a plan for them accompanied by a well-developed and fully intended plan to against them in favor of their corporate overlords.

Anxiety and dread is a different emotion.

As a swing state person, I’ll be ecstatic when this is over.

I don’t know – I can see waking up on Election Day and checking to see if Santa left us any anxiety medications.

The first inkling of an attempt at a try at a stab at a concept …..

Every 4 years we are told “This is the most impotant election in America’s history”

The irony is it could be days after the election before we get to know the Winner for president. Of course trumplestilsken will claim democrats are stealing the election again

I looked forward to Christmas. I dread election day. No matter who wins it will be bad. rump is unhinged and his followers are worse and they all have guns. If he loses they will follow whatever crazy, violent directives he give them. If he wins, it will be even worse.

I would put the concept alongside the radio drama War of the World. It feels like it.

And never talk about it again? Sounds good.

No, not even that. It’s definitely not worth it.

Better ideas have come from bar talk.

Anticipation is not the word I’ve used for it

If you believe Trump, the Boogeyman will arrive instead of Santa Claus.

We all have our houses boarded up for the riots to follow

Man I’m bored with hype & fear, time to get on with the reality, what a concept ! … ;-)

Xmas anticipation is almost always positive. Day after first November Tuesday anticipation is almost always negative… with a twist of ‘maybe it will be okay’.

To celebrate you drink yourself into a stupor. Then vote your hangover. Politicians used to pay for mountains of food and rivers of booze at the polling places. They made rousing speeches as the voters ate and drank themselves comatose. Then finished by voting. Everybody was there, Tory, Whig or whoever. Now that’s electioneering. And a major no-no.

Election Day Eve is the occasion, where a feculent lie – if placed in the news – has the most effect since it will likely spread through all voters media but the fact checking and truth will be known only after the election.

The refusal I the networks to fact-check the debates was a disgrace to journalism AND a disgrace to democracy.
