Shannon didn’t need to freeze it — there are enough preservatives in it that refrig would be fine. For about 25 years.

Do what you must to preserve her gift. Christmas, Santa, and all the colorful lights and decorations are more for the kids. And for adults who are still kids at heart. I still like to look at the lights but as a child it was all almost magical.

I think it might be time for the strip to do the arc, with all attendant sensitivity and caring, addressing that Shannon is a special needs child and requires professional intervention. I’m sure Arc or another qualified agency would be happy to consult. It could be an important one for the readership and perform a vital public service about early diagnosis and treatment.

My father used to love salisbury steaks so we would wrap a package of them for him for Christmas but had to keep them in the freezer until time for him to unwrap them!

The ‘hot dog’ could be a stolen dachshund. Luann should not take Shannon literally… or naively.

Puddles seems to have immediately understood that the gift is for him and sniffs it with great interest. Shannon really loves him a lot. Maybe now that Jonah is more stable, she will be able to have one of her own puppy.
