Actually, what the world needs is newspapers and other media that employ real reporters and are not owned by billionaires and/or gigantic corporations.
Danae maybe approaching the same state as a very old magazine comic showing a guy sitting in a box that’s turned up on end in a vast empty plain. His comment, People are no d – – – – – good.
[Hadda put dashes in because AI determined the real thing was too profane, even though much stronger terms have appeared unchecked in other comments. Irritatingly uneven application.]
Every day the Great Trumpkin says stuff that would be hilarious in a Mel Brooks movie. Unfortunately, I think we’re in an episode of the Twilight Zone.
It’s an old song, but “What the world needs now is love.”

Today, January 7, marks the 211th anniversary of the last hostile foreign boot leaving American soil, as American troops under General Andrew Jackson routed the British at the Battle of New Orleans, the final encounter of the War of 1812.
One of the problems has a very simple solution: stop sending bombs and guns to the Middle East until the recipient starts honoring human rights for a change.
Apophis is coming, it will be so close you can see it with your naked eyes depending on where you are. Those scientists better have their Math right. I will be on my patio with Margaritas – make those shots of Tequila.
You could do what we do now: Just find a scapegoat, assign blame, then use that to turn people against each other so instead of working towards a solution, we’re all working against one another. Then use that to control people into getting yourself elected while claiming you’re the only one who can fix the problem, all the while creating new problems without fixing anything. Or in simpler terms: Politics.

What does the world need? As someone who has had a few jobs dealing with the general public, “fewer idiots” is often my go to.

Okay, I’m calling it now. No 10 year old American is going to pick up a newspaper for any reason, including making a hat.

We should put Dana in touch with Hammy over at Over the Hedge. He could at least manage giving everyone a hug.

Mother Nature is working on a “vacation” from people. The house will be fumigated weather or not we like it.
No, I did not mean, “whether.”
