So much for a fun time hanging out with Jack. You two ruined the monster truck rally, which he was looking forward to!

Consider yourselves lucky, guys. In some arenas, you’d be in the jail truck. You got kicked out without any consequence – you just missed out on being spectators of a Monster Truck show and no refund on your tickets. And…those guys? They don’t look trustworthy. Tara is not exactly of sound judgment, common sense or character. Make Jack go with you, girls.

Again, isn’t this how Luann’s New York adventure played out – getting thrown out of an venue and looking at that as an accomplishment?

1-They were thrown out, just for sitting in the v.i.p. section?As I said that is very exaggerated!

2-For this time, luann must listen to jack, he smells trouble and those two have the word mess written on them!

Well now, THIS is interesting. These guys are Tara’s “roomie’s” buds. And Lu is up for a party but Jack ain’t. Which is a bit strange.

I thought Jack was a “Party Animal/Wild MAN?” Is THIS the same “Jack” that had pals in this band and who partied all night with Tiffany the last time THEY had a date?

Either something’s not right here, or Jack’s doesn’t like competition these guys represent or “sharing” his “dates.” Now You know why the lads at the Gulag got into such a big SNIT over having to split their time with Tiffany.

At any rate, those who said that this Arc was “boring” should stick around. Things might get REAL Interesting before this week is out.

PS: And I REEEEEEEEEEALLY Wanna take a Gander at Tara’s “Roomie.”

It looks like the three of them were making the best of a bad situation with their little party in the back of Jack’s pick up truck. It’s too bad the girls couldn’t leave it at that…

Happy Halloween, everybody! If you’re out on the streets tonight, keep your eyes open and your head on a swivel.

Some very telling expressions in the third frame. Jack evidently fears competition – which is why we have only seen him with the innocuous Nil. Luann appears finally ready to check out some guys – I look forward to watching her flirt. However Tara seems to smell trouble – something she knows all too well. It may be fortunate if Jack sits this one out. Luann & Tara may need somebody to post bail if they are caught drinking.

The dude with the ball cap looks like he’s about 40. “College was the best 22 years of my life…”

Jack has had enough and the two girls want to party on.

This arc took a lazy turn. They have been kicked out of a show. Plenty to regret there. Luann is always depicted as confused, not as the idiot she’s being here. And Tara, always the schemer, is excessively oblivious now to the grief she created, and to the worse one she’s about to produce.

Jack is not the party animal he pretended to be.

IT’S A TRAP!!

I’m gonna take look into my crystal ball and predict: Bernice will get the call to bail our Luann (and coincidentally Tara) when things go south.

Looks like they are all locked in the back of Jack’s truck bed. How will they ever get out?

Jack has the brains of the three here.

This is going to end badly for the girls.

A lot of negative comments about the Jack character today. Jack’s not a party “animal.” Tiffany’s fanciful date description aside. He appears to like having a good time but has mostly felt better obeying the rules. Since the bowling alley adventure at least. He also has the sense to be dubious about attending an “epic party” at an unknown place with unknown people. Especially after one disappointing adventure tonight.

Tara’s response appears to be somewhat hesitant. Especially for a risk junkie. I would have expected a “Woohoo!” from her except that she’s been burned before. I wonder what she knows about her “roomie” and her friends?

I cannot accept that Luann is that naïve. Neither is she that innocent.

Since they’re in Jack’s truck, and all four tires appear to be in working order, he will probably feel obliged to go with them or they’d have no ride. More problems ahead.

Another “Uh, oh!” Second one this week. Which of these characters would go to an unknown “party” at an unknown place, attended by unknown people? If Jack bales out, they’d unescorted and relying on an unknown ride home.

Looks like no Halloween strip this year.

I’m thinking those jeans and that position look mighty uncomfortable for someone who wears no underwear.

Kind of a long walk to get us to a house party, wasn’t it?

This entire arc could have been a single panel.

I hope Jack rethinks it and go to the party with Luann and Tara. They are a good trio.

What was the point of having Tara leave and come back, instead of just having them all kicked out together?

I really don’t understand it when strips add superfluous things that make stories go on longer when they’re already limited to 3 panels a day.

Luann isn’t very bright.

Looks like a new opportunity for Jack to be the brave rescuer. He’s not the dumb oaf he started to be.

So I guess we’re just doing a repeat of the NYC nightclub incident, huh? Spend five minutes there before being kicked out, then spend the rest of the night raving about how cool it was to spend hardly any time actually doing the big event you spent so much time leading up to.

And what a letdown to the Barney Fife thing. You’d think that if they were gonna show him overreacting to such an insane degree than it might lead to something, but instead he just did what he could’ve done anyway: kick them out for being in the VIP area without permission. What was the point of his actions/ attitude if they made no difference to the end result? And we didn’t even get to SEE the end result; we have to look at them reference it later!

For crying out loud, Evans! Is “Show, Don’t Tell” really that hard of a rule to follow?!? Criminey, this strip has so much potential that’s being absolutely squandered. If it were just terrible I wouldn’t be so upset; it’s the fact that it could be great but instead chooses to take the lazy, unexciting route at every opportunity. It’s like watching your genius child settle for a dead-end job.

I believe someone mentioned they’d probably get kicked out for poaching on the VIP seats. As for Jack’s reluctance to go to the party I think it’s becaise he’s tirned over a new leaf now that he’s more serious about his studies and his direction in life. He still likes to have fun but He’s not the party guy he used to be. Luann has the real potential to get into trouble with this crowd tonight.

Jack is a Party Monster only kind of guy.

I wonder if he has a kit in the back of his truck that makes it comfortable to sit in. they look pretty comfortable in there.

Jack has been there, done that, and Tara is willing to go there, while Luann is being, maybe, adventurous. Will hilarity ensue, or something bad? Time will tell but this arc will probably cross over to next week. At least I have not seen any this is boooring comments.

I think Jack is being protective of Luann and possibly both girls. Kinda looks like he has a caring side after all.

I think Jack is being the sensible one here. I have grown to really like him!

At least they didn’t get to spend the night with ‘Otis’!! Soooo … are they just chillin’ out in the bed of Jack’s pick up?

So, here’s a plausible scenario:Jack tries to persuade Luann not to go because he’s been to this kind of party and knows the dangers.Luann, trying to show Tara how adventurous she is, blows Jack off.More variables start here – does Jack go along to try to protect her anyway even if she gets mad or does he let her go?

Okay help Me out here. Folks have been encouraging Jack to either warn or accompany the gals to this so called “party.” In fact “folks” are to point of cheering him on.

Now, Gunther tried to do just about the same thing when he tried to warn Tiffany about Les about a month ago and he was universally Vilifed for doing so.

So If Tiffany is a big girl who can take care of herself, then why can’t Luann and Tara being adults, take care of themselves?

Seriously. WHAT am I missing here?

The guard has their names. They may be banned from all events at this venue.

Jack needs to go home and study chemistry (since he’s going to be a veterinarian or a technologist). He’s got focus; I like him more and more. why should he waste time tieing one on with a bunch of low life (aka.. professional party-ers) that he doesn’t even know or care about.

I knew that Tara wasn’t as innocent as she portrays herself. Hopefully Luann will wise up and go back with Jack.

So the question is … who will be the first “unmarried” mother in the Lunn-iverse? Will it be Tara or Luann?

Uh, sorry to seem judgmental, but simply & bluntly put, I’m “concerned” with Tara’s friends. This may not be a “good idea”, especially w/o Jack.

At least one of them can smell trouble.

Jack won’t abandon the girls. He is the designated protector.

Interesting. Lots of potential ways to interpret this:

1. The backstory of Tara suggests these fellows, these “buds of her roomate” could likely be a bit on the reckless and/or nefarious side. Perhaps it could be that Tara’s whole “TV-Gate” experience leading her to be kicked out of Moony was in large part due to a) Tara’s impulsiveness, coupled with b) a more nefarious roommate (and his/her friends). This presumes the “long time” statement suggests they were friends of her Moony roommate.

2. Another possibility is that this “roomie” could relate to her current roommate… which could be the person from Moony or could be someone else not associated with “TV-Gate”. If it is the current roommate, and he/she was not from the Moony period…. it may be the roomie (and friends) are not particularly nefarious.

Luann’s agreeing to “party” with these folks she does not know…. suggests Greg may be planning a PSA (public service announcement) style story arc…. one that could be designed to teach a life lesson or two. Or, perhaps not…. maybe it will just be fun.

* * * *I think a real surprise twist (unlikely, however) would be if Tara’s “roomie” ended up being Piro. If it did turn out to be Piro, however, I sure hope he was not involved in “TV-Gate”. We have all presumed he was “homeless” but what if he was just trying to be away from certain areas?* * * *

And, yes, although not common… some universities have co-ed dorms…. and within them co-ed rooms are occasionally seen.

I can’t believe all the Tara haters on this site. They seem to be saying, “Those of us who have never done nothin’ wrong feel that decent people shouldn’t associate with anybody who has.”

They got thrown out because the usher said they were rowdy. I’ve never seen any place, from stadium to theatre where they would throw you out for being in the wrong seat VIP or not (unless of course you argue.) That’s the key, you just be surprised, say you’re in the wrong seat and sorry, and politely leave and go to the correct one.I am on Jack’s side, as they came with Jack, even as friends, they should leave with him, that’s the polite way to go.

Well, we’ve learned one thing from all this. Jack and Luann have no feelings for each other, and won’t in the foreseeable future. They’re perfectly willing at this point to go their separate ways without further ado.

Jack: “Awww, Luann – let’s try to go get another pizza.” NOT

Luann: “Sorry, guys. I’d rather stay with Jack.” NOT

They can never have enough females. Usually not many come to be groped.

Karen & Greg this arc needs to end.

He wants to stay alone with the girls and those guys are interfering.

If Luann and Tara go to that party, they’re acting like assholes: they went out with him.

Poor Jack.
