And the BOMB is dropped! I KNEW yesterday things were too good to be true for Tiffany and her “joy” would be short lived. (Teafanny, You were Right)

Also, someone here suggested that Tiff will seek room and board elsewhere.

Gulag Anyone? Gunther had better get ready because Les will do EVERYTHING in his power Fair or mostly UNFAIR, to get RID of him in order to make room for Tiffany. That is, until Al and Irma forbid her from staying under the same roof with just Les.

What’s WORSE, if Tom has money troubles then Tiffany will NEVER be able to stay on campus again. At least not a dorm room to herself. She’ll either have to get used to living under the same roof with Ann for the next couple of years, or room with someone else.

I do think that the Gulag will be offered, first. But I’m kinda hoping that Tiffany will room with another female. Most “folks” would think that would be either Crystal, Bernice, even Tara.

But there’s a Wildcard. What if Tiffany winds up rooming with Bets? THAT should completely screw up Gunther’s current relationship with her.

Oh. One more thing. Ann was telling the truth when she said Tom had “money problems.” Will wonders never cease?

Everyone assumes that Tiffany will agree to this. She’s a legal adult. She doesn’t have to go home if she chooses not to. A waitress’s income can rent her a room in shared housing. Maybe renting a spare room like Pru’s doing with Luann’s family, or maybe in a communal household with a bunch of other students. Or Dez can set her up in a commune (yes, there are still quite a few out there.) Or she can room with Crystal. Many opportunities for new storylines, here!

WHY is Tom having money problems?? Something going on with his business OR is it ANN draining his bank?? And, Tiffany, honey, you know where you are not going to stay with…ANN. Hit your friends for rent sharing. The DeGroot household is full with Pru staying there. I doubt Irma will allow you bunk up with the boys in the guest house. Bernice is in the dorm with Dez – IF both are going to summer school. Hmmmm….Maybe Crystal? Greg, are you bringing Crystal back?

Well a conundrum, darned if you do, darned if you don’t. Pops is broke, or near it, he is with Ann, which raises the real question that that grifter may finally have fallen in real love, remaining with Farrell who is broke or near broke (in relative Luannverse terms) trying to help him rein in his spoiled spendthrift daughter (she failed with her son, on all counts); but the darned if you do part is that to do so poor Tiffany will have to go live in the house of horrors, with Madame Horror. But her dad is pleased with her though. Oh and lets not forget about Les. More and more like Tiffany and Les might end up being step siblings. Very much a conundrum. What to do, what to do?

Wait… Does Tom have really financial problems or (more likely) he’s just follow some sort of Ann’s plan with the illusion to bring his new family together? When he will meet Les? He’s going to marry Ann? Between he and Ann is mutual love? For me Tiffany should start to research a room for her, very away from Ann. Maybe with other students or in Al and Irma’s house.

Nothing in Ann’s presentation in Luanniverse shows any altruistic proclivities. She’s had to be coerced into any behavior benefitting anyone but herself. If she is not the cause of Tom’s (and Tiff’s, by extension) “money problems” then Greg is just crudely playing his readers.

Daydreaming: Tiff goes home to live while working and attending class. After a series of travails, Tiff picks up something from one of her classes that allows her to blow the lid off of Ann’s master scam involving the family fortune. Ann goes off to jail (or Venezuela) and Tiff is back on the Daddy’s Girl throne.

If that does happen, Tiff is still in the dumpster because her social life is the pits (no pun intended).

I hated Tiff when the kids were in high school but her transformation during college has been both fun to watch and a bit heartbreaking. She has learned to make different friends and opened up to Gunther (I still see potential there). Yet, Ann’s inclusion into the Farrell household has caused Tiff seemingly unending stress, affecting not just her mental but her physical state. Just when you think Ann has Tiff beat, she shows amazing resolve and finds direction and purpose from a previously unseen skill. And now this latest hiccup. Tiff will survive and become stronger.

“Can’t afford?” Greg afforded Tiffany 3 delusional, happy panels: the last one yesterday, and the first two today and then he pulled the rug out. Not just the rug, but he also took Tiffany’s pride and her confidence. Ann has become the new witch in residence of Tom’s failing empire. Ann has done for Tiff what Mr. Gray did for Gunther. Now, more than ever, Gunther and Tiffany need each other. They should combine resources, allowances, wages, and become roommates.

A Summer with “Annie” was just what Tiffany was trying to avoid.

I do not believe for even one moment that ’ole Tom “Cat” Ferrell could not afford the three months of dorm room rent for Tiffany. I suspect that Ann has convinced Tom of this need because Ann wants to further manipulate Tiffany…. from even closer proximity.

Tiffany should run for the hills! But, with no other means of support at this late moment, I think she is stuck…. unless she finds some place to “crash” for little to no funds.

BUT…. PLEASE…. PLEASE Greg… for all that is kind, good, and just…. PLEASE DO NOT have Tiffany room with Gunther and Les in the “Gulag”. It would just be TORTURE to see more and more aggravating sparring back and forth between Gunther and Les. Please do not do this…. have Tiffany room with damn near anyone else…. please.

And, staying with Ann and Tom “Cat” is not much better. Have Tiffany have a new person for a roomate… or anyone else.

AND…. is Tom “Cat” Ferrell going to pull this same damn stunt for Fall too? I mean there is nothing wrong with a student making their own way through college…. do not get me wrong…. most students DO find their own financial way through college. BUT… this was NEVER anything that ’ole Tom prepared Tiffany for. The expectation was that Tiffany had her way through college financed by her father. He is just trying to back out now…. and that is rather uncooth and speaks more about him negatively AGAIN.

Okay. Concerning the possibility of Tiffany moving into the Gulag.

The BIGGEST Obstacle to THAT, IS (GAG) Les.

    Imagine this:

    1) Tiffany likes to walk around wearing a towel. And with Les under the SAME roof? FORGET it!

    2) Tiffany and the Lads sharing one bathroom? Again, FORGET it!

    3) There are only two bedrooms at the Gulag. Meaning some “Guy” is going to be giving up His bedroom and sleeping on the beanbag chairs. And THAT “Guy” will likely be Gunther, if Les has HIS way. Of course, not before Les “generously” offers to “share” his bedroom with Tiffany. (If you recall, Les TOOK the Largest Bedroom and Closet)

    4) And even WITH Tiffany there, Les will STILL make Off Color remarks to ANY young female that comes to visit, because he’s a Scumbag.

The only GOOD thing about having Tiff Move in to the Gulag (other than having a very attractive female around) would be the lads finally getting some decent furniture. TIFFANY’S.

There’s one more Good thing. Ann May drop by the Gulag from time to time to “visit.”

That would drive Les CRAZY. Especially if Ann starts making Comments to Les on “Why can’t he be MORE like Gunther?” ;)

After all, she was running the fraud lingerie show to get money for herself even though she was already living with Tom, so control freak that she is, she would want her own separate money, and not be dependent on even a generous sugar daddy (Tom.) BTW, I am still hoping that the money that Tom has overspent (and permitted to be overspent) has actually been Tiffany’s inheritance from her mother or grandparents (to be turned over to her at a later age, per Will or Trust), and that she gets to learn that, get details, and pick someone else to oversee whatever is left if Tom remarries before Tiff reaches the given age named in that document. Think of the plots that could result! (I sooooooo want Annie to watch her little sports car being repossessed. And I want to watch the Farrells learn how to budget.)

I think it’s time for Tiffany to stand up to both her dad and Ann Eiffel: Who do you love the most, Dad? Me or Ann!!

Annie Awful has been draining his Bank Account into her Cayman account and he still hasn’t figured it out.

Tom wants to spend his money on Ann, not his own daughter. He is as cold as ice to her.

Money problems? Ann is taking him for every dime he’s got. And he so blinded by her crap that he can’t even see that. That’s totally screwed that she can’t even stay away from that mess!!! Now would be a good time for Tarzan to swing in for the rescue. At least for the summer. Obliviously dad is going down with the ship. Then Ann will discard him and look for another loaded sweet daddy.

I think we can all agree that Tiffany will not last a week living with Ann Awful. Chances are Tiffany will probably gain back all the weight she had from the stress Ann will cause.

Tiffany needs to find herself a small, reasonably-priced apartment. She is working now, and getting more pay than if she relied on Kids First. She will, however, have to give up the maid service. It’s either that, or lose her sanity.

As for Tom Farrell…? While I am surprised that he has FINALLY agreed to talk to Tiffany without bringing Ann with him, he still expects Tiffany to accept Ann into the family. This may be Tiffany’s best (or ONLY) chance to tell him the truth about the Soufflé Lingerie scam. He, of all people, should remember that Tiffany and the CEO of SL are good friends. After all the times they went to Paris? Tiffany should call Simone (CEO) and the three of them should talk about what Ann had been selling under the company’s name. If Tom refuses to listen, Tiffany should talk to her anyway. An investigation into Ann Eiffel should have been launched months ago, anyway.

Tiffany, ask gunther and les if you can live with them. I’m sure the boys would LOVE to have you with them.

Oy! Tom Farrell is inviting A House Divided! Maybe his money problem is Ann. Get rid of her and presto! all worries disappear: Tiffany can retain her private room in the dorm, and a generous credit line, and Tom can get back to playing around. JUST GET RID OF ANNIE AWFUL!

Many here seem to think Tiffany is entitled to live in the manner and style which she has had, and that she should engage in some battle to get Ann Eiffel out of her Dad’s life. Despite the fact that we don’t like Ann, every hurdle that Tiff has encountered as a result (of Ann in Tom’s life) has benefited her and has made her grow. She is learning the value of $ and how to be independent. The last thing I want is for all this to be reversed, for Tiff to move back in with Tom and be the heavily subsidized ’Daddy’s girl’ once again.

I use to enjoy this strip, it was fun, characters were mostly fun, good interaction; but since Greg threw Ann into the mix, it’s gone downhill, every time he introduces Ann into an arc, it drags on and on in an extremely negative way – I’ll be skipping reading it from now on if I see Ann’s name – just a downer

Tom has made Tiffany an offer she MUST refuse. He has added insult to injury and has fired the first shot in what will be Armageddon for what’s left of the Farrell Family. Actually, from my own experience, a little Armageddon in a family can be a wonderful thing.
