Ah! Realization hits the fan.

One more day of this misery. I felt like I’ve aged a month this week.

I always worked better under pressure.

Her mom has all those baby pictures to show the future boyfriends — she’ll get her revenge…

What do you call it when the authors advance the characters’ ages, but regresses their behavior?

(gives Nancy a hug)

“Mom, I know you’re tired, and I really appreciate you staying up for me so we can see this through. You’re the BEST!”

(walks Nancy to her room)(to herself) “I’m the LUCKIEST girl in the world!”

Z sez: Nah… too much to expect.

Yup. Nancy knows her daughter, the slacker. Nancy, if you know your daughter, you’d do more to lit a fire under her feet and get her to be more focused and passionate about her future. Right now she is just bidding her time in your house, hoping to live there as long as she could for free and do whatever she wants with little responsibilities. Brad was more ambitious and focused which was quite ironic considering that he was the slacker back in high school. Your daughter is aimless and drifting. Shake her up and loosen something.

When it came to writing essays, I worked best under pressure. I’d wait until the last minute, often writing the paper the morning before class, one time even writing it during class. I’d always get high grades and the teacher would often ask if she could read it to the class. This was very difficult because I was extremely self conscious and had no confidence in what I had written. But I would let her read them when she asked and the classroom seemed to enjoy them.

Time for another shout out to Star Trek.

Just playful banter between mom and daughter. Not the Armageddon of disrespect so many want to make of it. Jeez. Hilarity ensues. This is supposed to be funny. Lot here reminds me of my beloved Sisters of Unmercy in grammar school.

So I guess this is proof that Luann is a garbage person.

Luann, you just boned yourself by admitting your assignment was given to you weeks ago and the “what i learned today” essay was an emergency essay so you wouldn’t get an F. I can see why nancy is angry and embarrassed. You just used your mom to get a good grade, shame on you.

You’re in college and need to put more effort into your projects. Don’t be surprised if Nancy refuses to fall for anymore ploys to help you with an assignment.

It is amazing how quickly Nancy moved from pride to anger. Kind of scary.

So Luann waited until the last minute to do her assignment, huh? Sounds like Luann. That would certainly explain why she’s up in the wee hours of the morning.

Luann should be thankful it’s her loving mother and not Bernice sitting up with her and snarking her to death.

Payback, Luann.

Now that this “psychology” assignment is done, the class will get to go on a field trip to the zoo, with ice cream afterwards. Yay!

This week just shows Luann as shallow and lazy and dumb. She didn’t really learn anything worth writing about, especially for a psychology class. Unless . . . she gets an F and realizes what she should have learned to begin with. Not that her mother snores but why she’s so exhausted.

She ought to know Luann’s homework habits by now.

Also, this essay is supposed to be a college level assignment.

Luann’s college career doesn’t even qualify for the term “mediocre”.

Stuff like this ultimately propels kids out the door. KEEP IT UP, NANCY!

I usually finish my school work the day before it’s due and I do just fine.

Cute – But we are very ready for a new arc.

Nancy is too good ♡. But that suspicion may be true. I still wonder if this will have any consequences or just become a fun future memory.

Luann is wasting her time in college. OK, she’s wasting her time in life. But she may as well stop wasting her parents’ money and get a job. If she can manage to keep one.

Time for Nancy to step up the Mom duties.

It makes NO difference when Luann does the assignment as long as she turns it in on time. The quality of her work would be the same no matter when she did it.

As said for the past two days, this is a physical adult with a 2 year old’s brain.

Oh yeah . . . I predict a Luann comeuppance coming from Mom soon!

Such a boring story arc…

Panel #2: Luann looks like she’s ready for her Covid 19 test with her big honker up in the air.

That dastardly Luann! She seems to be trying out for the now-vacant rôle of arch-villain “Annie Awful”….

The Professor assigns this essay to each class.

And he usually hits the Jackpot when one or two of the students reveals some great blackmail material about their parents.

How did Luann become so despicable? Where is the blossoming artist? The mentor to shy tween actors? Beloved childcare worker? Look for her pod, cuz her body has been snatched.

I used to write my best papers (just finished my master’s degree – yay!) 48 hours before it was due. I actually am one of those weird ones that needs the panic to make the words flow.
