I also feel there’s an njoy joke to be made, but I can’t quite come across it.

It’s sad, but I can’t stop laughing. Pig’s expression in the fourth panel is priceless :D

Maybe if there were a bowl of Almond Joy bite-sized candies by the bed, he would experience some morning joy.

I’m sure “unjoy” is the best word to use, not “antijoy” because I have an Auntie Joy and she makes me smile any time of the day.

Weird, according to the Scrabble dictionary, UNJOYFUL is a word (21 pointer!) but UNJOY (15 points) isn’t. I will use UNJOY when playing Scrabble with my friends who understand the wisdom of PBS’s resident sage, Pig.

Some people enjoy life. Others unjoy it.

Joy is a choice.

If “unfriend” can be a word, what’s to stop " unjoy"? Soldier on, Pig!

Ever notice how all the cartoon pigs in pork/grocery ads have that big dopey smile? (Piggly Wiggly etc.) Chin up, Pig, could be worse.

He’s got it the wrong way around. Worries last the night, but joy comes in the morning.

This is a very good cartoon for a MOANday!

Funny. I knew a man married to woman named Joy. Becoming UnJoyed brought him much joy.

I prefer an Almond Joy

UNJOY. How we know it so well. Now it is put into letters. The human race weeps in realization. I realize there are some people who wake up in a positive mood, feeling fantastic and that lasts throughout the day. I envy them greatly. Yet they are a pox to the rest of us who suffer in abject misery. Thus we invented coffee.

What is on Pig’s face in the last panel? Ink?

In Brian Doyle’s book “Mink River” his Native People often use obsolete terms like “disremember”, for “forget”, and “fecking” for …..hmmm, who knows what?

I think I’m going to start saying, “Unjoy your day!” to everyone and see if they notice or just respond with the “You, too!” phrase.

Commonly used by Goeffry Chaucher. And in a dreary day’s poem whan that Aprille with his shoures soote.

It’s amazing that a cartoonist with such crude artwork can still portray an example of even cruder artwork.

Joy is also a ladies name. Sometimes that’s an oxymoron.
