I’m with Clyde on this one. Someone asks me an open question like that, I will take it as license to vent about whatever I want.

“How are you today?”

“Bloody crows won’t shut up. Found a rock in my shoe. Neighbour’s kids keep kicking their stupid ball over my fence!”

Clyde isn’t done yet. He needs to tell Earl about all his medical issues.

Since I have retired, I have struggled to avoid becoming the kind of old man who tells pointless stories. I don’t talk very much at all.
