Wizard of Id by Parker and Hart for July 04, 2020

I have lived in towns that the favorite Independence Day ‘Big Bang’ was shooting off a fire arm. No one could seem to convince these people that ‘What goes up – must come down’. It got worse in my head… when a relative heard all of this and decided to ‘enjoy’ the fireworks from under a big piece of Plexiglas. Telling him that those bullets going up can still go through. (Sigh!)

Anyhow… keep safe… and beware – there are too many idiots out there! Most are so drunk that they will not realize they shot someone until days in jail.

Yes a good show would be lovely after the horrible “reality show” we have been living through the last several years. Looks like the ratings are finally starting to tank.

Local street near apartment complex will look like war zone on Sunday.

There’s been a bunch of separate displays within hearing distance this week. There were two tonight, or one that had a problem for 15 minutes. I wasn’t watching so all my evidence is aural.

All the large shows around here have been cancelled – no gatherings!

The fires we’ve had in Az. we don’t need any fireworks. STAY HOME!

And the Fink probably has the names of every complainer written on them.

And here I thought that people on the Fourth of July were supposed to have a blast.

One would idly wonder why the Land of Id would care about 4 th of July.

Heck, with everything that has been going on, what difference will raging fires all over the place make…

Also useful for setting fire to sails and other parts of enemy ships — if they are wood, tar and cotton sails.

and does El Finko have a plan to make sure that the display doesn’t turn into a giant bonfire…because I don’t see Wiz anywhere!

I wonder what they celebrated on 4th of July during the medieval times.

Doesn’t begin to help. Nothing to celebrate this year, given a pandemic with no end in sight, and everyone at each other’s throats politically.

I think the real fireworks are due to go off in November.

A friend is giving birth today. She and her husband couldn’t care less about “boom-boom” fireworks.
