Um, moles? . . . cats (even Puck) hunt and even eat moles. Even if there’s like, 20 of you, Puck is a much better climber than any mole. I’m thinking that maybe you guys haven’t thought this through.
And the winning prize goes to … Gloria Fleming! She predicted the third panel would appear today. Huzzah! Also, we now have confirmation that Alice has been occupied toting the camera.
Georgia’s Patreon patrons were treated to a peek at panels 2 and 3, where she showed how she cleaned up an error: “warn” was first mistakenly lettered as “warm”

Puckmosis: Now we know more about the Battle of the Field depicted on my chart. Are you planning your tapestry, Mo?
Monet Chagall from Away: Yes. I have to figure out how to get the night sky just right, though.
Adobe Style: I can help you there. My specialty is dyeing fabric.
Mo: I think we need a variety of blues. Maybe a dark midnight, and an indigo with just a touch of red. And I’ll have Ora Z pick out the jewels to go on the tapestry.
Ora Z: I can guarantee the jewels are virtually indestructible.
Puckmosis: Now I have to do a bit of research on the part my descendant played in the battle. I understand he had a key role.
I was admiring Natasha’s big beautiful pink eyes today, and her hedgehog coat-of-death-by-a-thousand-pricks, and her daring, cheeky can-do attitude. And I thought “Wow! She has the soul of a great biker chick!” (Hot Wheels makes motorcycles, btw)
Furbabies on GC begins a great arc tomorrow featuring Mrs. Oldman. How great if BCN characters and commenters join this strip and cheer it on. Floof the cat appreciates support.
Everyone loves Puck. Puck can sleep next to any of the other cats. I’m thinking the moles are making an enormous tactical mistake. Have they met Iggy and Ora Zella?! Or The “Lupinator…?” Or gasp “Mommy’s Special Boy”. Lot of furry fury in the pink house…
A Little OT. We used to have a lot of moles in the neighborhood. The big matriarch Red Shouldered Hawk learned to hunt them. Its pretty funny to watch: She flies down to the ground and pulls her wings in tight, so she kinda looks like a standing penguin. Then she hops up and down in that form, turning and feeling, and looks like a malfunctioning wind up toy. The in a flash, a talon pulls up the grass, and her head goes underground up to the wings, The she emerges to Swallow, and repeats. Apparently a mole is three bite meal.
When combatants have their second hold their coat, it usually means they are going to have a one-on-one duel. I think either Montague or Wicket is going to receive a challenge.
It was 15 years ago today that I purchased my first Kindle Book, and of course it was about a cat. If you’ve somehow managed to get this far in life without having read it, I can highly recommend it!

The Robber Mice just activated Hero Mode. The mice will not fail Puck and the BPH crew.

Natasha to the rescue! She should have kept the coat, though. The cactus needles would offer some protection from the moles.

Wouldn’t Puck would be safe if he hid in the attic? I mean, moles are great at digging, but I’m guessing they’re lousy at climbing?

They say moles are larger
And Robber Mice are small
But Natasha’s fearless world view
Makes her seem ten feet tall
Where’s Alice
With her cam to haul?
Once escaped from zombie rabbits
You know mice had a ball
Tell moles ’bout a happy stabby killer
Who’s not afraid to brawl
Call Alice
There’s no time to stall
When Natasha with her sharp sword
Pops in and tells moles where to go
If they’re getting close to Puck’s room
Brave lady says no, no, no
Go ask Alice
Where did she go?!?
When mole logic and good sense
Have fallen from their head
And the white mouse is using bad words
To fill the moles with dread
Remember what the war mouse said
You’re misled
Don’t be dead

John Fogerty: Centerfield
Well Agnes is right there, now we’re aware
Those moles are on the path
This isn’t over yet, and Puck’s not safe
The moles are heading for his home
But this small white warrior mouse
Completely understands what must be done!
…….
Put me in Tash! I’m ready to fight today!
Put me in Tash! I’m ready to fight today!
Put me in Tash! I’m ready to fight for the field!
…….
Well I spent some time following the lines
The moles have dug in the field
But it ends right now, and we’re gonna plow
Through the tunnels and not yield
Me and Magazine will arrive on the scene
We’re ready to put out the fire!
…….
Put me in Tash! I’m ready to fight today!
Put me in Tash! I’m ready to fight today!
Put me in Tash! I’m ready to fight for the field!
…….
We watch and wait from the windows
But our turn will come
Wicked Wicket, get ready to fall
It’ll be a sight, I’m a cat of white
With a supply of multicolored gum balls!
…….
Put me in Tash! I’m ready to fight today!
Put me in Tash! I’m ready to fight today!
Put me in Tash! I’m ready to fight for the field!
