Got to give Tiffany credit where credit is due: great hair cut and speech Bern! -Greg and Karen did a great job this week. Rating: A-

Some guessed a makeover… . Not a drastic change, but it was a new hairstyle!…. -Some, like me, guessed a “visual aid” in her speech….. And it turned out to be clever wordplay to enhance her point (a delightful bonus for those among us that enjoy that, including myself!) Or Special FX (which went along with the visual aid)… – There was also the “not so much a big thing” theory, which, though this is momentous, will eventually seem less of a shock in a relatively short period… – And also the “other stuff”!…. Well, not so much that, as there were no dancing dogs with top hats and canes and sparkly outfits, and no laser shows, and no guest appearances by Ryan Secrest, Bob Dunkelman or Justin Bieber (cue relief!)…

I guess Bernice needed Tiffany’s help with just a graduation hair-do to act as a wee prank.

I think that “in my shoes” bit from Phelps kinda sparked her initiative….

The new, streamlined Bernice gets my seal of approval. Now she has to change her college major and forget that career in the academic arena. That is a thankless, dead end rut. Join the Navy, Bernice. Get your degree, then experience adventure, travel, and even danger.

Great new hairstyle hidden by fake hair – totally doable! Cap removed to reveal earrings on previously unadorned ears…? Not so much! But still, Bernice looks great. And while a new hairstyle seems superficial, it can also signify letting go of old crutches, such as Bernice’s old “nerdy” look and hair she could hide behind.

Let it go, let it go, can’t hold it back anymore…

A lot of build up for no pay off. Another underwhelming moment in the Senior year story line.Tomorrow’s strip won’t add anything to this since its a Sunday strip. I like this comic, but the last few months have had bad pacing for the story.

Meh.

WHEW! OK….. a new do for college! She looks a lot more “college aged.” Although, I appreciate the longer hair styles at any time.

This leads me to wonder if Luann will get a makeover soon, appropriate for her new “comic strip age.” It will be interesting to see.

didn’t see that coming, but love the new hairdo. I kind of figured Tiff had made some kind of change but not to the hair.

Big whoop. She got a haircut. Big freaking deal. I hope that Greg leaves all of this uninteresting female angst behind in the future, but I’ll bet he doesn’t. I think the sub themes, like Brad’s relationship with Toni are much more interesting. Just my opinion, of course…

New hair style; big deal. Nice, but big deal. Also,didn’t Tiffany create Bernice’s crimped look for her last makeover? I can see it now — Bernice gets a doctorate in something, becomes well-known and popular, and Tiffany… ends up her personal styist.

“Take off the bands!”? I had to look back a week and a little beyond, but Bernice always had a headband keeping the frizzy hair off of her face. Apparently the new hairstyle doesn’t require it anymore.

Did Tiffany give Bernice a haircut and then make a wig out of the cut hair? That does deserve some recognition! Even if Tiffany doesn’t succeed as an actress, she certainly has a future working behind the scenes as a stylist.

Older women often have a shorter haircut because long hair doesn’t look good on most older women. I am a middle aged woman, BTW.

Looks like Tiffany has a talent for making people look good. Hollywood pays a lot for that, if the acting career doesn’t pan out. Nice look for Bernice – judging by the way she looked in her very cute prom dress and the new “do”, she is really pretty. Hope she doesn’t end of like Ms Phelps.

I like Bernice’s new hairstyle. Suits her much better. Tiffany should become a makeover specialist. That’s her calling. She did Gunther and he now looks less nerdy. Tiffany, you can’t act so Hollywood doesn’t want you, but you can stay in Hollywood by working on sets doing makeovers on actors. Start a portfolio with Gunther and Bernice.

Whenever I see someone who had long hair with a short cut, I always wonder if they donated their hair to Locks of Love. Often, given the people I know, I have been right.

I think it would be cool if they have Bernice do this with her cut hair.

RIGHT? Love the cut, but so out of character for Bernice. Everything Greg’s built her as suggests she’d at least give thought to taking a moment about their class, and using it as a way to show off a makeover. Where’s the class there? That’s something Tiffany would do, not Bern. It’s just weird.

I’ve said it all along – Bernice is HOT and now she will come out of her shell like Aphrodite.

I don’t know about the guys here but when I was young a girl cutting off her long hair was a BIG DEAL! Very painful and often regretted while she cried and waited for it it grow back. I love the new style, she has an adult presence now. Good job Greg.

Mr. Evans, my hat off to you. What an encouraging speech, and the change in her appearance is so perfect an ending I got a lump in my throat. I can hardly wait to see what else is in store for this strip. Please don’t retire.

Just got back from that high school graduation…72 kids in the graduating senior class. It was a blast! The kids could decorate their caps any way they wished…they were a Lot of fun. They also got to meet with their teachers to say goodbye and thanks. They (the teachers) lined up near the stands while each student went down the line. I have never seen something like that before…but with only 72 students, it worked! Best darned high school graduation I’ve ever attended! As for Bernice’s new hairdo…I Love it!!! When you think about it the medium dictated the change. What change could Greg make to change her look dramatically and have it be noticeable on a comic strip?

Looks good, but with the setup I was expecting a bigger deal.

So unexpected. We had ruled out that the reason Bernice went to Tiffany was for a makeover or new style, and here it is, a new style with Tiffany’s help. What a great surprise. Bern’s speech ended with a grand finale, but even without it, her speech is motivating. LIKE!

What a let down! i expecteed something more unexpected! She shoul’ve got a purple mohawk and a half sleeve tattoo and tell evry one the real Bernice is now breaking out after years of being a boring homely geeky girl!
