Quill said the same thing that Rosa did, and it’s a year or so later (our time). Is there anybody on this forum who believes Gunther’s appearance is any any way “hot”? Or anyone who believes that Bernice and/or Tiffany would think that? Clearly Greg Evans wants us to believe that Gunther is now attractive, but what he came up for the “hottie Giunther” is an epic fail.

You’re getting really good at this stuff. Maybe you really should start your own ’toon…

I remember that Gunther had a thing for Tiffany for a short while back in the day.

Apparently, things aren’t complicated enough for mixed-up Gunther. He (and we) are about to be left with another cliffhanger as we dart off in a different direction on Sunday (and probably Monday, when we end up with Professor Stupidhead dumping water balloons on students..)-So, will Gunther start up a new ‘life plan’ with Tiffany as the mother of his 2.5 children? Will Tiff be loving life with a ‘granny flat’?-Or will Gunther invite Tiff to go to class with him so he doesn’t lose any time in his exciting quest for a degree for that nonexistent tech job?-When will inquiring readers find out?

Maybe Gunther will take the words Quill said to him very literally, and ‘not plan for everything’. What would occur if he ‘just let life happen’ between himself and Tiffany? Hmmm….

I don’t get the sense Gunther is contemplating getting back together with Rosa – I think he’s ready to end that chapter, at least as long as she stays in Peru. But of course I’m looking at it from a ahem slightly more mature woman’s perspective, not that of a young man.

Now if Rosa were to show up in Pittsville tomorrow, well… all bets would be off.

mmmm I know that the “Lue-Gun” shippers will say “she will get jealous, and steal G from Tiff” after damping Q, but I can see more of a “Lue and Rosa talk via cell phone” and Rosa finally grows up about the “volunteer by herself” thing and decides to come back to Pitts and get G back before Tiff steals him

In her vast collection, Tiff can find a spot for the G-man. Yep, a real G spot for Tiff.

It is said that Beauty (in this case ‘Hotness’) is in the eye of the beholder… Tiff sees the ‘new’ more manly Gunther and goes for it… good for her and maybe good for him… She is not without some positive points herself (I’m sure they are there and will show up eventually). It is also said that opposites attract… Hmmmm.

I think it could work. I was bouncing love interests for Gunther in my head and Tiff was at the top of my list. They could definitely rub off on each other. The whole opposites attract thing and what not.

Really what Gunther needs. Tiff will show Gunth how good it can get when you turn your brain off…

Of course, Gunther did just leave Rosa. You can’t just forget about someone you felt strongly for. Even when you feel you want to “carry on”, if you don’t deal with your feelings, they have…..“interesting”… ways of surfacing that you don’t intend them to………

And now things get interesting. BTW, I like the new Gunther, he now has a bit more personality than a dishtowel.

I’m a straight woman, and I really do think Gunther looks a lot better than he did before, though I wouldn’t go so far as to call him a “hottie”. Just getting rid of that damned buttoned-up shirt did wonders. He’s still the same whiny, mama’s boy though—in fact, he’s even worse than he used to be, because now he acts like a jerk to his mom.

He needs to get away from his mom. Maybe not as far as Peru, but to go to college somewhere in another part of the US. Or just in another part of California, so he wouldn’t have out-of-state tuition. He’s smart and should be able to get some scholarships or something to help pay for it, and maybe work part time. Let his mom live her own life for a change.

I usually enjoy reading your comments after I read the strip. Several of you don’t seem to like where the strip is going and that’s cool. Dissing Gunther for his choices is one thing, but I truly wish you wouldn’t diss Greg. This is his strip after all. He can take Gunther wherever he wants him to go. I have enjoyed Gunther’s travels. I cannot wait to find out more about Mr. Gray. I do want to see how that turns out. How the convo he will finally have with his Mom goes. I’m so glad Quill is living there. He’s so level-headed. I also can’t wait for Brad’s wedding. I simply adore the convos he has with Shannon.Have a great weekend all!

Tiff is not interested in Gunther. She wants to use him, just like she uses everyone else.

Hmmmm…. yeeahhhhh….. I’m not sure I like this at all. I think Tiff sees this as a huge manipulation opportunity… Gunther getting her through all her academics, etc. Time will tell, but I smell a rat here.

And, since Lu isn’t at Moony (and certainly not “on campus”) yet, there’s more opportunity for Bern and Tiff to go at it. I’d not be as concerned with the Lu – Gunther ship at this point. I don’t think it’s even activated yet.

Poor Gunther is off to a kind of drama of his own.

These two would be bored with each other, they have nothing in common to talk about.

Tiff’s life is very controlled by her father, so seeing Gunth beginning to cut the strings has to be appealing.

Tiffany very much has an ambition in life, and she is doing all she can to make it happen. By contrast, for the last week we have had to endure Gunther’s complaining that he is now drifting, since his “life plan” fell apart (no Mama in the granny flat!). Maybe Tiffany can put the G-man back on track to having a goal in life and striving to achieve it?

“I thought the operative word was planned , not plans.” ^Yes, you’re right! I guess I was referring to the then “mindset” Gunther was having at that “exact time”, when he was in the moment of saying them. It should be planned. Unless that concept is still something he keeps “in the back of his mind”…

Music is (or at least was, before all the “mega label hype/PR machine” of today does all the stuff for you) another area where one must develop a “thick skin” to deal with praise,criticism, appeal, or lack of appeal. Though I’m sure that there are still plenty of performers/musicians/songwriters/etc. (even with all the “corporate support” or without it) who “take it to heart”, for good or bad…

Gunther’s next live ought to be: “Okay, what do you want from me, Tiffany?”

Tiffany may not be interested in having Gunther as a boyfriend. (She’s never had a serious boyfriend, that I remember, so she is obviously capable of getting along without one.) Tiffany may, however, simply want to be friends with her old classmate, since she may well be lonely at Mooney these days. As ReFlex-76 showed us above, they’ve been through a lot together back in high school. (Thanks for digging those strips out, ReFlex!) As Gunther’s friend, she may be able to help him resolve his “Mama issues”, as Quill is also trying to do. I suspect Gunther needs all the friends he can get right now, and unless he can control his temper and stop being so unpleasant, he won’t have any.

On, this is not going to end well….

taking as a given that G will not end up with Tiff, there are only 2 logical routes of actual growth for G man, and maybe one for Tiff……………. the one that is almost definitive even if Greg wants G to end up with Tiff is that Bern and Tiff will be facing off each other for G (Bern having interest on him or as a concerned friend), and than “maybe” in the future(1 or 2 years from now? if not sooner) if we get Luann talking in the cell phone with Rosa as they already were established as chatting with each other when Rosa came to Peru, we will see Rosa grow out of her foolish way to help a village(by herself and without proper tools) and decide to come back to Pitts to fight “for her man”……………………. for Tiff, if Greg does not want her to end with G, I can see Tiff learn from G what real feelings are, and not the way of “body admiration” as most guys do see her. And than after G/Tiff “fails” she might be open to go out with Oxie

I’m probably one of the few people that wishes that Gunther would go back to Peru, not just because of Rosa, but this time to appreciate the experiences one can have exploring a different country and culture. ( A lot of countries encourage high school graduates to do a “gap year” after college, often doing what Rosa was doing but as part of an organization.) I think a year in Peru, this time with an open-minded spirit of learning and exploration, would do Gunther a world of good.

Mind you, I’d guess his arc will keep him in Pitts or nearby, but I’d love to see that alternative.

Dear, ambitious Tiffany is always seeking to upgrade, but I think she is making a big mistake in skipping over Oxford for the allegedly New Hottie-model Gunther. Oxford would be a better choice for her in the long run, in my view. But, hey, Gunther is so mired down in self-pity, he needs a little excitement, and that is something the Tiffster can provide….

Rosa is out of the picture, and Luann is off the market. Tiffany is the only other girl in this strip that Gunther has taken the slightest bit of interest in. Seems logical to me.

This is like being a nerd and having the head cheerleader hit on you…. Actually that’s exactly what it’s like. Good luck Gunther.
