On an unrelated note: It’s Election Day. If you are eighteen or older, please go out and vote. Our country’s in trouble either way, it’s our decision to find out if we’re going to burn into the ground or succumb to torture until we can elect Bernie in 2020.

They are friends trust me. Just because they bicker over life issues does not mean they are bad for each other or somehow are not friends. I think that they are in a way reflecting a mirror view of the issues with each other in relationships. Bernice is not criticizing Jack or Nil/Emo themselves, but she is telling Luann she does not see rock climbing as a fun thing to do. Don’t take chances! Luann is telling Bernice laying on a couch dreaming over an unobtainable mystery man is not something she would do either. Get real! So one might take a chance (Luann), while the other would daydream the unobtainable (Bernice). Maybe Bernice should take some chances, while Luann should get real? Mirror images reverse. Just my late night before I hit the sack thoughts. I again reiterate that the Bern and Luann are not seeming to be threatened by Jack in particular. Notice how quiet and still they are waiting for the girls to come back. Neither is doing anything, and they are not talking to each other, Jack having his arms crossed, while Nil/Emo is sitting politely with his hands on the table. Hardly stalker behavior. Maybe these two are both in need of female friends and relationships and that is the common thread even though they are totally different people. But not dangerous. This is not a Dirk type situation.

Why are the choices that Luann and Bernice are talking about the only choices?

Bernice is a total LOSER. She is trapped in a box which is her life. Behind her a miserable childhood. In front of her is more of the same, as an adult..To the right is her condescending self. To the left is the smug know-it-all.Look up and there is the vast emptiness of loneliness.Looking down is the pit she lives in. Filled with sorrow, self-pity, and doubt; a never ending, unhappy existence.She needs serious help.

Berneice shouldn’t have said what WE are doing. That amounts to a dare. However it looks like Luann was headed in Jack’s direction anyway. I just wish it wasn’t somebody this gross.

Bern, I don’t think EmoBoy has enough upper body strength for climbing a rock wall. Let the two of them go off and do that, while the two of you do something that isn’t going to physically tax either of you.

Piro looks to be a amalgam of what’s sitting at the table.

So Luann can go without Bernice. They ain’t joined at the hip.

How nice they’re so comfortable in their friendship they can openly disagree. And how nice of Bern to unwittingly push Lu to do something adventurous. Hope Nil and Bern go along “just to watch”.

I couldn’t ‘reply’, but yes, to Sukie and Scott S, Bernie and Nil could be Luann’s cheering section and watch. But most climbing walls have beginner walls that are fairly easy to navigate. It’s more than just arm strength. It’s planning a route using both arms and legs and position to best advantage. Strength definitely helps but the safety equipment is there to save you.

I would say, go out and make the best of it. At least it’s something different to do. Plus, if the girls double date it gives them a little more security and the other to lean on if it’s awful!

BTW, have you noticed that w one exception, all the scarf wearers have engaged in turtling behavior? It is a visual clue.

Why not try something new, like rock climbing? What a bunch of sticks in the mud…

I won’t bore you all by saying who you should vote for. Will it be Trump, Clinton, or even Johnson? We won’t know until tomorrow. But, here in California, we have IMPORTANT ISSUES to determine, aka State Propositions. Will marijuana be legalized? Will the death penalty be repealed? And only in California will you find this gem: will adult film actors be required to use condoms?

Oh, come on, Greg……….Bernice is so up tight, she wouldn’t even lay on her bed without crossing her legs.

See needs to have her heart broken and a serious all encompassing relationship, then she needs Luann to be there to love her and pick up the pieces. I think if she goes through that she will finally mature, although it will be painful as hell. I kind of hope GE lets her do that, even though I will cringe. I like her anyway as one of main characters in Luannverse Air.

Wall climbing is number one.

I didn’t hear any invitation for Bernice to go rock climbing. Luann really needs to dump her clingy, neurotic friend.

And to some of us, rock climbing is an awesome activity. Bernice needs to seriously try experiencing life instead of just critiquing it. And I agree with Luann.

Luann has at least a little smidgeon of a life. Bernice has none, except in her dreams. Bernie is in no position to be giving romantic advice, much lest orders!

If she knew what was good for her, Bernice would cozy up to Nil and make a double date of the rock-climbing thing whether she actually enjoys it or not….

Life has strange lessons. There was a time when i used to say, “It would not happen here.” We would not have a government that endorsed torture. It happened. We would not have a nation that did not honor the Bill of Rights. We woukd not have a nation that lost its progress toward equality, or which forgot the lessons of WWII and embraced fascism. Life has strange lessons and at times too many people sacrifice core values. Let that not happen tonight.

Many don’t like Number 2 and try to ignore it ir redefine it.

Many despise Number 1 for forbidding them from forbidding rich folks from having unlimited right to speech, figuring they should only be allowed so much and no more.
