Frank was excellent and truthful today!

Tiffany’s father probably thinks of her as a “during”.

Luann looks kinda adorable in the second panel.

At 13 she was a dumpy before. Round about 15 or 16 she grew taller and started to experiment with her hair – also to actually date boys instead of dreaming about Aaron Hill. Then she got a steady boyfriend, changed her hair to its present style and became very much an after.

Then she split from her boyfriend, went to college, dressed in loose, modest frumpy clothes and became a before again. Long-term fans miss their pretty blonde starlet. Wonder when she’s coming back?

Nice and sweet♡ Frank loves his daughter, even if sometimes he makes bad jokes about her.

Nice respite from the usual “messy room” Sunday offering.

By the way, have you ever noticed this family in the comics that looks exactly like us? They both look straight out of the panel with confused looks

BTW, love the take-off names of the comics Dad is holding. Acne? Cashews?

Is it just me or is Frank’s paper backwards.

another subtle comment on the times: Note that Frank is reading an old fashioned print newspaper, while Luann is reading from an electronic tablet / e-reader. Thus foreshadowing the changing of the guard and the loss of print media.

Absoulutely love the aka comic strips on his comics pages, Cashews, Taft, Acne, Olives, Pets, and what looks like Rhumba.

This is great. I sure do miss my dad and this is a perfect example of something he would have said.

Still, it’s refreshing to see a Sunday strip where the punchline isn’t “Haha, Luann is such a teenager, amiright? Look at her being dumb/lazy/messy!”

Happy Fathers’ Day everyone! What a sweet strip. And Luann, you are most definitely an “After” in my book. You look sweet and lovely. I know your wardrobe gets criticized a lot but for the most part you look great. And Frank, you are a real Sweetie. You guys are lucky to have each other as Father and Daughter.

Strangely, I keep looking at the titles of the comic strips on Frank’s paper… Cashews, Taft, Acne, Olives, Pets…. interesting strips he’s reading.

Nice Father’s Day sentiment from Frank to his insecure daughter. Truth is, Luann, you do look vastly better now (after) than you did at thirteen (before)!

It is a good thing that Frank loves his daughter, she’ll probably be living with him for many, many years to come.

Was wishing to see Tiffany father’s face on this father’s day. Happy father day.
