It looks like Ann is about to take her first step in being PERMANENTLY Banned from the Fuse. Good.
The Bad News is, THAT won’t stop Ann from tormenting Tiffany. I mean she asked for Tiff by name. She wants to hand the poor kid more bad news so bad, that she can taste it. It’s time SOMEBODY threw a bucket of water on this Witch. She been running wild for 4 year. Ann needs to go into Exile again.
By the way. Here’s a look at the first time Ann met Ox:
https://www.gocomics.com/luann/2012/05/10
And the Strip where Ox REFUSED to co-operate with Ann:
https://www.gocomics.com/luann/2012/05/21
I wonder if Ann remembers Ox and what he did? And that’s why she called him “Blimpo.”
Friends who owned and operated fine dining houses would tell an ill mannered, ill tempered nobody like Anne: “Madame, there are any of a number fine restaurants in the area; I suggest that you take your business there”. End of discussion.
I have not anticipated the next day’s strip this badly in a very long time. Mr. Evans, sure hope you’ve decide that it’s about time that Ann got hers. She’s gotten away with so much for far too long to suit me.
Nancy is very polite and Ann Eiffel responds with a demand for service and a demand to fire an employee. She describes the employee in an insulting manner. She does not appreciate that Ann does not respect the people who work there and maybe the customer can leave and patronize another establishment. Nancy should demand the apology for disrespectful remarks that characterize Ox as a Blimpo.
Ann Awful is not the owner nor boss. No one is required to be insulted or otherwise abused by anyone. The other cherk was turned. Lawsuits work two ways. Right and true are one way. We have been fired. The company went bankrupt 45 years ago. So much for two way street when the company wayis a dead end. Ann is driving over a cliff.
Newsflash for Nancy; Anne maybe the first, but certainly not the last, ill mannered, demanding jerk that you’re gonna meet in your new found line of work. Now, as a bartender, just imagine Anne drunk…scary huh?
Miss Congeniality has entered the building. Nancy will invite her to leave. Greg will save her butt. Tiffany will end up in trouble and daddy will cut her allowance once again. Yawn.
I have a feeling that when she gets done pissing off everyone there, Evil Annie will end up out in the parking lot with road rash on her ear. Yes, I did mean ear. You have heard of tossing someone out on their ear, right?
I feel like Ms. Evans has been looking at recent events in the customer-service industry and is now trying her hardest to get the term “Karen” replaced by “Ann”, for understandable reasons.
Someone needs to bring this pretentious entitled b***h down several pegs, oh it would have been SOO satisfying if ox had “accidentally” dropped that plate of dishes on her. ::evil grin::
Apparently Ann thinks this is Weiner World and she is the manager, with these “fire blimpo” demands.
And she’s talking to Nancy as if she were just another employee, which will make things even more delicious when she is (hopefully) told that she just tried to tell off one of the owners.
Repeating what I said over the weekend: Would someone please have Brad and Toni clue Nancy in on just who Ann Eiffel is?
I’m not sure Blimpo was meant for OX. It might have been meant for her future possible daughter-in-law, but maybe it is. Ox is as strong as one, and I would not want him angry at me. I would want to keep my arms on my body, and my head on my shoulders. Anyway, OH NO SHE DIDN’T?! Insult a Fuse staff member, being rude and demanding and fat-shaming at the same time. Nancy is not a pushover. I think we are about to see proof of that. Moreover Les and Tiffany are both there. Another South Side colloquialism, “BABY IT’S ON NOW.”
Here’s hoping Nancy steps up to the plate and behaves like the adult owner of the establishment Ann is visiting. Ann suckered Prudence in with her sad story to get the rental fees waived for her lingerie parties. (Wonder if Nancy ever knew that Pru was giving away the product?) Don’t fall for it yourself. (Of course, Nancy has already in the arc gotten sucked into Tiffany’s meltdown, so maybe that doesn’t bode well.)
I suspect the comment count will easily reach or exceed 500 today. Greg is doing his job. Strip has only been up for about 2 hours, and we are already at 110 or so.
.
Have Howie the Stapler Guy accidentally run over Evil Annie in Das Fuze parking lot tomorrow, and we’ll break 1,000.
This is why you see signs that say “We reserve the right to refuse service…..” Normally customers like Eiffel will be politely told to leave by management which leads us to who should drop the hammer on the witch; Nancy as the owner of the building or TJ as manager of K2? In the real world the owner would encourage TJ to do it but in Luann world its obviously going to be a battle of the Moms: good vs. evil!
Ann has forgotten the Nancy is co owner of the Fuse. That in itself is grounds for expulsion, a NO TRESPASSING order, Slander charges… She’s in deep doo-doo.
The “dialogue” has started. Nancy will soon understand that, with Ann, peace is never an option and everything will become very tense and intense. How dare her insult Ox!?
Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental condition in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration, troubled relationships, and a lack of empathy for others. But behind this mask of extreme confidence lies a fragile self-esteem that’s vulnerable to the slightest criticism.
Thankfully we have Nancy to handle this. Customers do not get to pick their server. After Pru abetting Ann’s scheme before Ann probably thinks she can get away with anything.
Wouldn’t it be nice If two or three of the Fuse’s customer’s overhear Ann’s commotion, recognize Ann as the CROOK that sold them that FAKE Soufflé lingerie awhile back, and confront her. And ALL of three Vow to press charges as at least one of the “victims” is a close friend of the State’s Assistant Attorney?
And Ann would finally wind up in jail the way she SHOULD have two years ago……,
Ok, Ann is being, well Ann; and Nancy will be Nancy. Ox is classic Ox (can he do a reprisal of Weenie World? One hopes!). Three things I’m hoping for; 1) The Fuse has cameras that record what happens in K2. 2) Ox does a classic Ox thing when Nancy has Ann leave. 3) Nancy has a talk with TJ about Ann, how long this has gone on, and his failure to support his employees and that he’s lucky to have the staff he has.
After I retired I worked a retail job part time (until this January). On one occasion a customer was verbally abusing an employee. The owner walked up to the customer and said, “I own this place and I don’t pay him enough to put up with your crap. We don’t need your business, there’s the door. Use it.”
Hasn’t Nancy met Ann before? I thought she was there the first time Ann rented the Fuse for her scam lingerie party and Ann did some fake crying about her “horrible” situation. I’d look it up but I don’t know when that happened. I think Pru was there but I’m not sure who else was.
How has she not interacted with T.J. yet?! She seems like the type to demand to see the manager the moment something doesn’t go 100% her way. It seems weird that nobody has mentioned to him the trouble Ann has been causing all around him.
It is absolutely amazing that Nancy has never heard of Ann Eiffel before. Surely Luann or Brad or TJ would have mentioned their unpleasant interactions with Ann. And Ox or Tiffany would have quietly told Nancy who this customer is before she approached her today.
Ann went Tropic Thunder. Never go Tropic Thunder. Kirk Lazarus would tell you in a heartbeat, don’t do it. I think Les and Tif’s character development is on its own course, I don’t think they need her anymore, each of them are in a position where their success is theirs, all Ann does is step on them and keep them in the mud. I look forward to the day where Ann is publicly flogged and humiliated (preferably all over the newspapers) for being a nasty waste of oxygen.
If I were GnK, I would bring TJ onto the scene and reunite the two! Nancy might not be able to be on foot-to-foot wit Ann, TJ can! Ann would be so upset about seeing the person who had her fired that she trips all over herself. Ox comes on the scene again and takes her to her car and hands over the key and says “Drive careful. Take care” and slams the door. And quickly re-enters The Fuse in case Ann has the idea to run him over.
While Tiffany’s failing grades is her comeuppance for partying instead of studying, having to endure Ann Eiffel at the same time is going way too far! And Ann has become way too cocky. She’s not there to enjoy the food. She just wants to torment Tiffany.
Has Ann forgotten where she is, and the scams she pulled here? She needs to be removed and investigated.
I’m surprised that Ann is her arrogant self towards the other workers at The Fuse. I really expected her to be smooth and oozing charm towards everyone else, saving her venom for Tiff only.
I’ve known people like that before…. they project an aura of slick charm to the rest of the world, and only attack their intended victims, isolating the victim. Everyone else would say, “But she’s so nice when we see her, so generous! Are you sure you aren’t just taking this a tad too personally? Are you sure you’re not just misreading her?”
That’s a far more effective and subtle attack, instead of going after everyone, guns a’ blazin’.
Looking forwards to the rest of the week! Once finding out that Nancy is the owner, will Ann pour on the flattery? “Oh, so good to meet you, Nancy! Say, we’re both grown women. And we both know Tiff well, and what a silly, overly-dramatic girl she is, so prone to exaggeration and emotional outbursts over nothing! Don’t believe a word she says!”
Ann Eiffel isn’t the most pleasant of people on a good day. But today she seems particularly nasty and combative. Guess somebody must have took a little tinkle in her Corn Flakes this morning or something… ;-).
Looks like the sparks are gonna start flying soon. Ann Eiffel versus Nancy. live and on Pay Per View. Call your Local cable provider for prices and availability…. ;-)
I know everyone wants Nancy to put Ann in her place but, I don’t think that will happen. Nancy might have parented two teenagers but Ann is a different breed of mean. Ann is slick and conniving… Nancy might need a few episodes(background info) to get the upper hand and help dish out Ann’s comeuppance
A number of posters on here believe that Ann is using the term “Blimpo” to refer to Tiffany. However, none of them seem to notice that as she says the word she is pointing the finger of her right hand in the general direction of Ox. Therefore, I submit that by “Blimpo,” she means Ox.
If Nancy antagonizes Ann is there any possibility that Ann could make mischief by disparaging her to Mr. Gray? (What part does he play in the ownership/management of the cafe at this point?)
Let’s hope so. Someone FINALLY needs to out Anne Eiffel in her place …’ The world doesn’t owe you anything. It was here first.’-Attributed to Mark Twain.
It appears Ann is finally showing her true colours to the rest of the world. She is clearly obsessed with having Tiffany serve her (just like Tiffany’s father is serving her!).
What is she really trying to accomplish? Does she think that by getting Tiffany fired, she’ll have no choice but to move ‘home’ and be part of the ‘family’ again?
Tiffany will never accept Ann Eiffel. Ann knows that, so does her father. But Tiffany’s feeling and opinions mean absolutely nothing to them.
Nancy DeGroot, however, is a professional mother above all else. She can see that this woman is being troublesome, and she will take her on like a professional parent who knows how to protect a child, something that Ann Eiffel (or Tom Farrell) will never be.
As for Tiffany, she needs to get out of Moony University, and focus on the skills she does have. Save money for a cheap apartment, and enroll in a college that teaches cosmetology (and some Math). TiffasNails can still become a reality.
Really, “Blimpo?” “Ox” was bad enough, but fat shaming and other stuff have no place. Others are thinking action will be taken, and I hope so, but doubt it.
If I were Nancy I’d just say gee we just don’t seem to be able to get your order prepared, you know how it is, kitchen backed up with orders, really sorry about that – maybe some other day.

The only reason she’s there is to make Tiffany serve her. Otherwise, she’d be spending Tom Farrell’s money at the spa.

Kick her @$$ out and ban her for life.

Ann Eiffel isn’t the most pleasant of people on a good day. But today she seems particularly nasty and combative. Guess somebody must have took a little tinkle in her Corn Flakes this morning or something… ;-).

The only sparks I can see would be from Ann. Nancy is cool as a cucumber and fully capable of putting Ann in her place without raising her voice.

Anyone want to estimate the time to “I Want to Speak to a Manager”?

Yep, same old Annie Awful we’ve come to know and despise.

How about that punch in the face?

How about that punch to the face? Nancy could claim self defense and everyone at K2 would back her up.

I know the plot gets much better than this! By Saturday, Nancy will hurt Ann’s feelings and throw Ann out!

Look at the context clues! Ann already knows Nancy is a manager or owner! She knows that Nancy has the power to fire people!

Please put this woman in her place. Not only can I not stand her, but I also can’t stand that kind of behavior. You don’t treat people like that.
