This Thanksgiving be thankful for all those front line workers

I’ve had a feeling that the last 4 years God was on vacation and put Rod Serling in charge, and we’ve all been living in an alternative reality. It explains the whole Trump family, the “hoax” pandemic that’s killed more than a quarter million Americans, and an election that Trump won’t let go. (I’m beginning to think we’ll need Buffy and Hellboy to remove him from the White House.)

Remember it’s the states that elect the president, not the people. That way the big populous states won’t dominate as badly.

You’d think now that biden won (with voter fraud), they’d understand the electoral college just a little bit better….. Just take a peek at almost any political map of Trump’s win, and you’ll see a sea of red. Good grief.

Never underestimate the power of the truth to fool people.

One of the several problems with the electoral system. A couple have been corrected over the years, others have not. We need to join the rest of the world and let the people choose our elected leaders and not a system designed to give disproportionate power to small states and disenfranchises voters in every state (i.e. if your candidate got fewer votes in your state your vote doesn’t count toward your candidate at all, only the majority chooses who gets all the electoral votes for your state.)

Can’t even read the funny papers anymore without politics sneaking in.

what a bummer. I always loved the humor in the comics, looked forward to it everyday. Now I will have to stop seeing Non Sequitur, because it became political…and I really enjoyed reading it everyday for the last several years.

I prefer that ‘No News’ Island Earl visits myself. Much more peaceful.

Thanks to all first responders — the nurses, doctors, medical staff, caregivers, cleaners, clerks, mailmen, firemen, police, . . . everyone who has been putting their lives in danger during this very bleak year. Also thanks to all the people who wear their masks and keep their distance in spite of their personal discomfort. You are all helping make sure that our future holidays will be better. Thank you.

The Bigfoot this year and beyond is CV-19 and it isn’t imaginary, as some would have it. The CV-19 Blues lyric, We’re ok , , , so far is still the ‘most played’ tune on earth. If projections for the Thanksgiving surge are even close, it will remain at the top of the charts regardless who sings.

I repeat our prayers for the fallen, those who will fall, and for those who risk everything to care for them.

I’m glad I’m not a Pet Panda in trump’s house…he’d a kicked the stuffin’ outta me by now. Didja seen him in that 60 second press conference? Hard to say, whether he was close to tears, or close to pukein’. Or both?

It’s a sea of red on the map because of a lot of nice big LOW POPULATION counties, with nothing but MAGA hats and closed minds. You can practically hear the wind whistling through the empty valleys. No voter fraud. It’s a scam started by the Republicans and their propaganda arm Fox News years ago to rile up their angry base.

So, what happens when Captain Eddies from two different universes collide?

Just for today, I wish nobody anything but a nice day, in the company of at least one caring person, and as a nice meal as they can make. So sad we don’t do that much more often.
