While over-the-top silly, it’s still turning out better than I thought it would.

As cute an idea as it sounds, knowing Tiffany, something or someone is going to come along and ruin things for her. think of the thieves that would love to get their hands on things in her house.

Pirate’s lair, skeletons, swords, cobwebs, plus food and drinks? Hell, that is a heck of an investment for a measly $300.

Is this the beginning of Tiffany’s Event Planning? I think she would be a good event planner once she learns to accept what the customer wants.

A $300 dinner with $3000 in pirate-related props and scenery. So much for great business sense.

You tell her Bets. Hilarity shall ensue, but I am hoping for a good, useful outcome, and don’t forget Bet’s social media presence. This ought to be gangbusters.

The first time I saw those sweeping stairs I suspected Bets would want to cosplay something there. I thought 3 Musketeers, Bets likes pirates, same era.

Sad to see, though, that the “beautiful friendship” between Tiffany and Bets has foundered on the shoals of Artistic temperament.

Tiffany still needs help with her class assignment. Bets takes over a bit too much.

Does Bets seriously think S300 will buy swords, skeletons and full on pirate decorations and still leave money for making dinner and Tiffany turning a profit?? It won’t!

Tiffany, one little thing yet a monumental to learn about owning a business, the customer is always right. Bets (who is still thinking about her fans over Gunther) wants pirates and you don’t. You have NOT clarified WHAT your “Table For Two” includes. You need to list themes. If you don’t want to do pirates, you need to list specific theme options. Right now, you have none, and you can see Bets going wild, running with the ball with her fantasy. You gotta rein her in , starting with your theme option list – like NOW.

I dunno. Hard to hide the fancy huge staircases and full-length bay windows. That place doesn’t exactly scream “yo ho yo ho.”

Bets’ first real misstep. Although I must admit that I am partial to pirates.

But would Gunther love the pirate motif? He might just be along for the ride as one more prop for another photo op for Bets.

I might mention that Tiffany is doing the exact same thing that got Luann in trouble — She’s using her father’s property without his knowledge, permission or approval. I wonder if Tiffany’s little scheme will end up the same as Luann — With Tara’s cousin trying to rob it.

Of course this could end up interesting with Bets and Gunther defending the mansion with swashbuckling swordplay.

A pirate themed dinner: perfect for 7 & 8 year olds. The director had better shout “cut” because this is the most childish and stupid arc, yet. If there is such a thing as hormone anemia, then the youth of Pitts are all suffering from it, except for Stephanie the cheerleader and little Fay, the wanna-be Lolita.

Well, there went the shortest friendship/business arrangement on record. And it only took a week.

Whatever good will my beloved Betsy built-up this week, just sank faster than the Titanic when Tiff’s “houseguest” went all “Pirates of the Caribbean.”

Worse, Bets’ Social Media addiction remains firmly and unfortunately intact.

Unless it’s Halloween, (And ISN’T) Tiffany should provide that “exceptional experience” for Bets and her (first) mate, ANYWHERE but _her house.* I’d suggest renting the Fuse and charging Bets triple the price.

And Bets? The last couple of “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies TANKED. And a “pirate movie” all but sank Geena Davis’ movie career. You should stick with a Star Trek theme, kiddo.AND DON’T CHANGE THE KLINGONS! ;)

I mean, the idea itself is not that bad, themed dinners are a thing. (Don’t know if you have that where you live, but here Crime Dinners and Medieval Dinners are quite liked). But decorating it specially for every customer? Won’t make much money unless you have a basement full of decorations already. Anyway I would definitely buy a pirates dinner! Would love that! :D

Hey bets, $300 only buys you so much unless you think there is a long line of people who’ll pay $300 for your pirate experience.

They are getting upset over an imaginary business.

Their faces show that they both find this disagreement amusing instead of serious.

Tiffany’s mansion might be a great pirate lair, but the idea sounds expensive and there’s little chance that a large amount of extremely wealthy cosplaying couples exist. It would be an unique event. Maybe they could organize scenarios on request every time, but it would be really for few. May this become the start of a big fight between Tiffany and Bets?

Oh. Right. I forgot it is always about her fans.

I think this is setting up a partnership. Tiffany has the location, pro quality kitchen and the gardens out back. Bets has the vision, her social media savvy and her cosplay skills. She will create the themes for the dinners.

Bets is an entrepreneurial opportunist who is trying to parlays her $300 into a Gunther N Bets cosplay event.

Do ANY of these idiots ever think about getting permission from the owners of the properties they take liberties with?? GADS, they are so self centered, entitled, clueless, stupid and selfish. I’m beginning to think these are Karen’s personality traits we are getting to see being portrayed. None of them own anything of their own so they are shown just using other peoples property without permission to do whatever they want. Maybe next we could see Les hosting a do it yourself remodeling class in Al and Irma’s kitchen. Or Bernice could open a mini amusement park in her parents back yard. TJ could buy another broken down chow van and operate it in the Fuse parking lot (while plugging in to their water and electric). Hoping to check back in two weeks for the appearance of the Zoning and Health Inspectors. That would make me happy.

You’d better think of a compromise, because if you keep this up, you’ll be out of business before you start.

Oh and Tiffany – you are being played. Bets has her own agenda and it is all about her and Gun on social media. She has had this on her mind since she arrived and you just provided the “in”. You are going to be supplying the theatre for their next episode that will make a whole lot more than the measly $300 you will get paid and she won’t owe you any of it. Wise up.

How did this go from “thanks for coming over to help on my assignment” to “I have $300, let’s set it up for tomorrow”? There’s a lot to like about Bets, but her addiction to her fan base is over the top and seems to consume her. “I’ll post pix, fans will love it!” For a business major she doesn’t seem to have her feet on the ground. Tiffany understands there’s a lot involved in starting any business, i.e. permits, insurance, taxes, but somehow the business major doesn’t see that? On the other hand, if she really wanted it I’m sure she could set up the pirate cosplay herself without any real money output by Tiff, so I see this as theoretically doable.

Annnd just like that the whole idea collapses.

Scott Adams says that your customers tell you what business you are in. Bets is just showing Tiffany what will ultimately be a successful enterprise.

Aside from all of the practical issues raised above, how thrilled will Gunther be to once again have his supposedly romantic dinner date turned into fodder for Bets’s internet fans? I wonder whether a fight is on the horizon, and not just between Tiffany and Bets?

Ok but would $300 cover the cost of decorations AND all organic food AND waitstaff AND make a profit? I know she’s got a tentative hookup with her hippy gardener friend but said friend doesn’t want to turn her gardening into a capitalist venture.

Tiffany, you cannot always do things your way. It is called compromise. If you are serious about this venture, then you have to work on this.

Bets is controlling and she looks angry. No wonder the only BF she can keep is a meek one who caves in all the time.

I’ve always been a Bets fan but she’s showing a very unattractive side of herself today.

I’m surprised by Bet’s reaction to something that is just a class assignment and an idea, not the real thing.

Not really enjoying Bets seeming “attitude” here at the moment. I mean… come on… this is an assignment Tiffany is working on for school….. which Bets came over to supposedly help her with. Now, she is wanting an actual “event” of her choosing…. and while she is willing to pay $300 bucks for this (still seems preposterous to me)…. Bets is kind of moving away from being helpful… to being purely a consumer.

I get that Bets is all about her social media and her cos-play…. and if this were an actual established “fine dining experience” her desires for it her way would be appropriate. But…. again… this is a CLASS ASSIGNMENT for Tiffany. Whether or not if Bets should pay $300 (I would say no, it should be a simple “mock-up” of the experience that perhaps Tiffany would pay for or maybe all the participants would chip in an appropriate amount to cover the costs of supplies)…. it really should be done in a way that is helpful and convienient to accomplish for Tiffany…. for her ASSIGNMENT.

I miss the slightly larger Tiffany who lived in a pair of sweat pants. I wish Anne would have stayed with Tom if it would have given Tiffany a reason to change. Tiffany was changing and was becoming such a strong, independent character … now she regressed back into a rich, snobby, characture.

The customer may not always be right but the customer does not part with payment sans satisfaction.

I don’t think Tom would appreciate Tiffany turning his house into a pirate lair..

Well, looks like they’ve hit the first snag. Here we go again with “who owns the house to allow changes” and what will Tom think. If it’s Tiffany’s project and Bets is supposed to help her, they should be compromising or at least discussing it. Bets has jumped right into a controlling fantasy mode and, again, thinking of her “fans”; hardly a quiet dinner for two. It may be her $300, but it will not cover all those proposed decor changes, plus the food and cost for whoever prepares it. Also, posting the mansion online is not safe and secure, but that’s a logic that may not enter this strip. I think Bets is overstepping.

Reminds me of the high school years. Luann was setting up a talent show, and Tiffany (as Miss Chambers of Commerce) couldn’t wait to take it over.

Well, the house is big enough to host a comic-con.

The House is large enough for a Dozen theme rooms and would still be half empty.

OK, does Bets understand that Tiffany is broke? Where is Tiffany going to get the money to put together a pirates setup AND put on a dinner for her and Gunther? Tiffany doesn’t actually have a business and doesn’t have any capital to spend.

I’m also not sure she can legally put together a dining setup in a house that’s not zoned as a business. I agree with the poster who said that she should have the dinner at the Fuse, which is set up to be a restaurant.

(Eliza-)Bets and Gunther are indeed a perfect match. No two ways about it.

I really don’t like Bets. She is always concerned with putting her relationship with Gunther on display for fans. Tiff’s idea is for an intimate dinner for two, not for a podcast dinner for thousands.

Tomorrow, Greg Evans announces his retirement and intentions to take a drawing pad, along with Tiffany, Crystal, and Knute to the pubs of London and the sidewalk cafes of Paris. His Brave New World.

If Bets wants all that other stuff, Tiff better charge more than $300, because it will cost at least that much to GET the other stuff.

Tiff needs to do what Tiff does best, like crystal and lace, and pirates is probably not one of them. Howsowhomever, this is a multi-level house, so, with Bet’s help, they can have a different theme per floor, or whatever.

Tiffany, you just learned that Money talks, and BS walks.

Tiff needs to come back down to earth and remind Bets that this is a project, not a legal, actualized business. That $300 is not going to buy her and Gun the pirate meal of her dreams (I doubt Gunther would share her enthusiasm of the theme). And that this is HER home, HER project, HER vision, so f-off Bets you control freak.

This is not going well. The house is Tiffany’s and her rules prevail! Besides, $300 will not really cover the Halloween Party decor that Bets seems to think would be a good idea for her special romantic dinner with Gunny!

Tiffany can tap into “Bets N Gunther” Fan Base as a business that does cosplay events with dinner.

BTW, the Mansion belongs to Tom Farrell, not Tiffany who is an Adult Child.

Every time there are a few days that make me start to like Bets, things end up in a disaster like this. It’s disappointing to me, but, it’s not my story to tell. ::sigh::

I don’t care what anybody says here…I like Bets. She’s smart, feisty, off-beat, opinionated, smokin’ hot, and going out with the class nerd.

She’s the kind of girl I dreamed about landing on me when I was that age. In real life, they landed in the laps of jocks, pre-meds, and pre-laws.
