I think what we have here is a failure to communicate.

I’ve never had a combative cat before. But we always gave them food they liked.

We had one chubster, Tommy. So, we got another German Shepard pup, he took care of Tommy – ran that cat skinny after a few months.

At least it’s not a severed horse head on the bed.

Mine simply threaten to kneecap me everytime I change the food.

Cat people know this behavior well. We have all failed our feline overlords at some point. Thankfully they always find rooms in their fuzzy little hearts for forgiveness (after sufficient begging and treats have been given).

My daughter sent me 2 cases of cat food after her’s crossed the rainbow bridge. it’s a healther version of what i feed my picky pair. they usually leave half of what i feed them so when I saw this arc I thought how timely. Of course them being cats, I was greeted with completely empty food bowls .

My cats are VERY picky, they like their food and nothing else or see strip above. We seen to be having a pet food shortage, took my 4 stores to find their food in stock.

Well, cats. If you don’t likes new food, well, you could goes back to hunting. Ya knows there’s some pesky mice around and….

Temper, temper, Goldie.

Not having glassware to spare, I have been checking daily for my furbabies’ food to become available again. Made a check late yesterday evening and scored 3 cases!! I nearly sprained my finger trying to slam them into the online shopping cart and get checked out before they disappeared again. If it gets here tomorrow as promised, I will be safe from feline displeasure and penalties for the next couple of months. Whew!

I have spent so much time, money and energy trying to find something my cats will eat. I’ve given up, I buy what I know they will eat. Though I have found that if a canned food is expensive, claims to be healthy or natural they’re more likely to turn up their nose at it.

My experience is that the worse it smells, the more they like it.

The boys are on a diet. Period just keeps checking the dish toy see if anything appears. Dirk mainly just yells at us from the top of his fortress of Kotrborg. Snorri, however, will make his displeasure know in escalating ways until he gets at least something to appease the “rumbly in his tumbly”.

This morning, I noticed she came up like a shark to attack. Cue the JAWS music.

It is a challenge if they have to have special food. When Osiris had to eat Urinary diet I started out with the prescription stuff, she barely ate it. A blessing when I discovered you could get the same stuff (chemical analysis) way cheaper that obviously tasted better. I highly recommend getting them something they will eat, she did great on it for years, lived to be 22.

One of the benefits of adopting feral cats: they tend not to be picky eaters.

My dad passed away today. I have been too busy traveling and taking care of family to post or read other posts, but I like to think my dad, who was a tremendous cat lover, was there to welcome Lupin. Hug and love your cats and family while they are with you <3
