Why is dating Oxford uncool? If Tiff dates Ox it might be very cool! I think she likes Ox as a person but Tiff lights up around Kip and Stef’s radar senses that. So she is hot to pair Tiff up with some one, any one else!

The top bunk is bust level to Stef. Assuming she’s an average 5’6" and a foot and half from top of head to mid-bust that makes the top bunk at 4 feet off the floor. I would assume that an adult bunk bed would be at least 5 feet off the floor. Maybe even higher.

Good Lord Stefs lame smile is going to give me diabetes. Maybe if we’re all lucky she’ll get run over by a moving van.

I am not sure if Stef simply does not realize she is being mean or is truly clueless. Saying Kip and she are perfect because they both are athletic is just stupid. Goes to say a lot about her. Tiffany and Ox are perfect because they both are big and cuddly. Wonder what she would say about Gunther and Bets? Yeah, she would say Bernice and Nil are perfect because they both are brainy and Jack is a no-no for Bernice because he is athletic and SHE might consider him if Kip tires of her, quarterback or not. She is the matchy set type. Gah. SO kindergarten.

It would be interesting if Ox showed an interest in Steff.

I am lovin’ this arc, laugh every strip, and can’t wait to see where the young woman writer takes this story.

It’s called passive aggression and if the writers are not setting the witch up for a major fall this has been a wasted week.

I’m wondering where we’re going after a week of Stef’s rubbing it in. If Stef starts blabbing to Ox about this, it could be very embarrassing for Tiff & Ox. However maybe G & K have a surprise for us – like all this s… actually does wind up bringing Tiff & Ox together.

This is clearly a setup to me:. I’m not sure how Tiff reacts, if at all to Stef’s rank body shaming, but I have a funny feeling Kip will be making an appearance because he’s a hound whose attracted to Tiffany for all the reasons that despite Stef’s sad willingness to engage in sex, has scant other points of interest in her shallowness. Ox? Wait and see. It’s just a brave prediction probably totally off, but I don’t think so.

Friday, Stef predicts that change is coming. Saturday, Kip peeks in the door and calls softly for Tiff. Monday, the strip does a sharp turn to Bets getting Gunther to enter a dance contest. and a notice on door of Tiffany’s dorm building says, “Closed for repairs”.

Why did she move back into the dorm? I would get it (she was lonely, wanted to be closer to school activity, etc) if she didn’t have to SHARE a room. No young adult WANTS to share a room, no matter who their roomie is (unless it’s a bf/gf)

Is it wrong to want to take a hammer and knock all of Stef’s teeth out?

Poor Tiffany. She looks so tired in panel one, so exhausted. Become Stef’s roommate was her worst idea.

I hate to ask, because I’m afraid of the answer, but how much more petty and annoying is Stef going to get before Tiff has had enough and puts an end to it for good?

Has she forgotten Ox’s athletic career? He’s just a different kind of athlete from Kip. Football is a game of specialists.

The Saturday scenario that I know we’ll never see: Tiff says: “You’re RIGHT! This is about to change!!” She grabs the neck of Stef’s t-shirt in both fists, drags her in, nose to nose fashion and says: “Listen ….. S H O O G ….. Butt in to my life … ONE MORE TIME …. and you’ll be picking your nice shiny grin up off of the floor …. one tooth at a time….!!!” However 1) that isn’t going to happen and 2) if it did happen, Cheer Ditz is probably too dense to understand it.

I’ve literally said to myself when I opened this comic today “Oh my God is she still there!” “Go already!”

Somebody get rid of this character…I would LOVE to see another accident happen.

Tomorrow’s comic- Stef, upon exiting the dorm room, notices Dez and Ox together. She’s so shocked she soils herself. In the last panel she says “I guess that’s enough of a workout for today”.

Here’s hoping Tiff manages to escape Steff’s machinations.

I had a friend in college who used to tell me I needed to get athletic like him. He was insulting about it sometimes too. While I wasn’t athletic, I was pretty much normal with a 32" waist. He was muscular and had visible abs. Now almost 2 decades later. I am the same weight and size. And he is about 100 lbs. heavier. Is that irony?

The way this dead horse is being beaten, an interesting dilemma has risen. Namely: if this doesn’t result in Tiffany and Ox getting together, then what was the point of all this? Because we the readers already knew he liked her, so we’re not getting any new information here. Tiffany herself is playing her cards pretty close to her chest (not that I can blame her, as Stef is hardly someone to confide in) so we’re not learning anything new about her own feelings. It’s like the only real purpose to the whole arc was to get Stef out of her cheerleading outfit.

This reminds me of when I was in college during a hen party. One of the girls asked me who I liked on the men’s campus. I said “no one, I’m just not interested in dating right now” The inquisitor persisted “Come on, there must be someone you like.” So I mentioned a young man who was considered by one and all to be eye candy. The girl pounced: “He is so out of your league!” You need to date X! (What we would now call an incel) He won’t mind that you are homely." Uh, in the first place, I don’t date anyone out of pity. Second, I wasn’t looking to date ANYONE at that point in my life. I had a part-time job (business manager for a community theater) and a double major. Third, my scholarship was about riding horses. I just didn’t have time for a man. My horse was as big a baby as I wanted.

Really really hating Stef right now. That’s like saying Gee you both wear glasses so you’re a perfect match! Or Gee you’re both quiet and shy so you’ll be great together. Most people who matchmake have no idea what either party will find attractive!

The person I really feel sorry for in this arc is Ox. He has a crush on Tiffany but, while she likes him as a friend, she doesn’t appear to be attracted to him in that way. Stef’s pushing them together is only likely to cause him pain and embarrassment.

What goes around comes around, so Tiffany gets a taste of what sort of company her old self was.

I know Tiff picked up the “Freshman Fifteen” but it doesn’t look like that much more!

I’ve never seen Kip show any romantic interest in Tiffany. Nor has he been shown to be a player and dating more than one woman. The only thing that shows poor judgement is that he dates Stef. If Kip really was interested in Tiffany, he certainly would NOT show up at 5:30 am expecting to have sex with her. Even if Tiff was interested she would want some advance warning to do some grooming.

I can understand where Steph is coming from but she isn’t asking Tiff what she wants, she is just assuming that Tiff wants advice. That’s her mistake. much like Bernice, work on those listening skills first ladies. As far as her comments on weight, I kind of see her reasoning. I’m very physically fit because I work out a lot. It’s a commitment to get up at 5 and hit the gym/surf etc. plus skipping fast food in favor of ordering healthy off menu or not having anything to eat is a lifestyle choice and a priority for me. I want to date someone who respects those priorities or at least won’t get pissy if they don’t get there in-and-out fix. That means usually someone who is also physically fit. However, Steph hasn’t shown Tiff any respect, why should Tiff respect Steph’s bodily choices? At this point I think Tiff needs to stop taking the high road and either move back home or go on the defensive/recognize Stephs personal attacks for what they are, set boundaries, call Steph out, and hold her accountable.

I suspect that Steph has some major insecurity issues and may suffer from bulimia or anorexia

I am actually a little angry over this. There is absolutely nothing wrong with Tiffanys shape or size. She is not fat, she does not seem to be overweight. Quit being so obsessed with the unrealistic proportions of a human Barbie doll.

Steph is actually the sad person here. She is so insecure. Recall when Tiffany first moved in, Steph was devastated by her brief breakup with Kip. She uses passive-aggressive insults to make herself feel better about herself. She wants to set Tiff up with a guy to keep Kip safe from her. She has unhealthy eating and dieting habits and she’s obsessed with body image. Recall that she freaked at a random comment that she took as criticism. She’s really sad.

Through the years, Greg has done just about everything he can to take down and embarrass Tiffany. Now, she has risen above all his attacks and has emerged as a maturing, likable, and still sexy girl. some think Kip is interested in Tiff. But so far it’s hard to read him. I think he’s not the type to aggressively go after a girl; he doesn’t seem happy around Steffi but she has trapped him with sex appeal. This arc seems as much about Tiff and Steffi as room-mates as anything else. It’s hard to know what all this is leading to, if anything.

It’s pretty clear that stef isn’t going shut up and leave tiff alone until she gets up and goes exercising with her.
