When the song Baby Got Back (“I like big butts and I cannot lie”) first became popular, my wife was going through puberty right then. So she was just starting to grow a butt, and suddenly girls with butts were popular. Perfect timing for her.

Frank is always so rude. How he ever got a cute wife like Nancy is beyond me.

I feel a big disconnect with today’s strip because none of the woman in my life — my wife, my sister or my mother even covered their face with goop at night. It’s some kind of old stereotype about women, desperate to look young but in my limited experience it’s just not a thing.

As for Frank what does he do all day? When we do see him in the strip all he does is sit around and complain about Luann’s messy room. No wonder he’s getting fatter.

But seriously, Frank’s comments are both tone-deaf and unself-aware. Frank comes off as an obnoxious Boomer.

That is the reason ALL mothers use for gaining weight. Sure, you gain during your pregnancy, but you can lose the extra weight after childbirth. It is up to you if you do or don’t.

Nancy had 2 pregnancies, the last of which was over 20-years (in comics time). Meanwhile, Frank has dutifully povided sufficient resources for Brad & Luann to be raised in relative comfort while Nancy didn’t have to work for decades.

Bearing two children does not in itself a paunch make, Nancy. Rather, there are lifeway choices involved, too. You do not have to surrender your figure to motherhood!
