I live in an apartment building where I own the second smallest car on the lot — and I bought that used.

I think I’m safe.

That’s what I’ve been telling you for years.

OTOH, it’s the nicest car on the lot, as long as you don’t need to pit anyone in the back seat. And you don’t care about rattles.

Why do people always compare themselves to those who have more. People would be a lot happier if they kept in mind that they’re better off than 90% of the world’s population.

I got a roof, heat, food, and wheels. That make me one of the rich guys.

I will often get down thinking how my life has not turned out the way I envisioned as a child.I never landed my dream job. I’m not independently wealthy. I was never a world class athlete despite 20 yrs in the Marines.Then I look at the amazing woman who has graced my life for the last 35 years and I realize that had I gotten all I wanted, I never would have met her. At that moment I am always overwhelmed by a wave of gratitude. I’ve made a lot of mistakes. When it comes to the right choices, I’m batting about 200… maybe. The one thing I did right was turn a chance meeting into a lifetime of overall happiness.No matter how bad the day. Holding her in my arms, and she holding me in hers, makes all the bad and ugly in the world fade away as my being is infused with the love radiating from her heart.

That old donkey is still in good shape considering that he jumped off the mountain 13 days ago.

I really don’t understand the desire for acquisition past a certain point. I’m not even slightly rich, but can buy pretty much anything I want, except a yacht or something.

That wasn’t Neighbor Bob that was John Kerry needing a bigger plane to spread the word about climate change and green energy policies and practices.

We all have that one friend or acquaintance who has better stuff than we do.

I’m sorry, Pig, but houses nowadays are made bigger than older houses. In my neighborhood a house burned down and they are building a new house on the spot. The new house while it is single story like the other houses it towers over the older 1970s houses.

Coveting thy neighbors goods breaks one of the “ten commandments”, but it is vital to capitalism.

Wise A*ss on the Hill advice!

OK – MS PEDANT HERE, AND HERE GOES . . . BIGGER HOUSE THAN I DO, A NICER CAR THAN I DO, AND MORE MONEY THAN I DO. SOME GUY HAS A BIGGER PLANE THAN HE DOES.

I guess being grateful for what you do have would be lost on Pig and Rat.

Where I live the neighbors are trying to see who has the loudest pickup truck.

Makes me think of the teacher that commented complaining about the difference between her salary and Jeff Bezos’ income.

What has happened to gratefulness?

Mark 8:36“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”

So is it up to the individual (Pig) to get what he wants, or up to a higher authority to take it away from neighbor Bob so Pig feels better?

Why you shouldn’t worry about your neighbor’s grass.

You can thank Trump and the GOP for this.

Some other guy has more space rockets than that guy.

I know that “material things dont bring happiness” and that is true to an extent. but its also about how you get the things you have. Are you honest? a ponzi? a hard worker? a heavy loaner? it just depends on how you get what you have.

I’m so glad that envy is not one of my major sins. (the others more than make up for it) …and no I don’t kill people

Pig has the biggest plan ever on cheese

I’m jealous of people who’ve learned how not to envy.

If you have a neighbor with a better house, more tools, nicer cars and a sweeter spouce than you, you are blessed. You have someone to borrow from.

Well tell the guy with the bigger plane that my hands are way bigger than his. Just saying

This reminds me of the story about two farmers. Farmer John can’t afford a cow and is jealous that his neighbor Bob has one. John is working his field one day when he finds a magic lamp. He rubs it and out comes a genie who grants him one wish. Rather than wish for happiness, good health, great wealth or even just a cow of his own, he instead wishes for Bob’s cow to die.

Envy makes people do horrible things. John should have wished for Bob to die so he could take his cow.

Pig and neighbor Bob will never be happy.

Yes, we are.

Such is the fate of materialistic, competitive consumerism, Pig….

And Pig recognizes how toxic envy can be. I have enough to live a decent life. Unless they stole it from me, I don’t resent others just for having more.

Find somebody with a bigger mountain t han Wise Donkey

And that other guy is jealous cause another cause has a plane and a spaceship.

Wealth. It’s not about how much money you spend, it’s how much money you waste.
