Simple puns and deep gazes between Kip and Tiffany. I was hoping that he would take an interest in Dez to avoid that the drama with the annoying Sref to directly involving Tiffany, but it seems that she and Kip are actually attracted to each other, at least for the moment and using the excuse of the “special” herbal tea. If anything happens, I hope it leads to Stef and Kip breaking up and not at they trying to keep it a secret. I wonder how involved Dez will be in this relationship.

I feel a disturbance in the force. There is a vision of this becoming a new couple, and of things shifting to the Fuse, where a pining admirer observes all. Perhaps a long-ago Easter egg will hatch, and Ox will be on Kip’s front line, in the fall. I can see the entire team celebrating a big win at the Fuse, and Kip might even take a knee before Tiff, at that point…or Ox could make a desperate move. It is as if things are setting up like Tiff were the titular character of the strip, with Kip emerging as her newest and most significant-for-now foil.

…but is it what I want? Not sure; just reading the tea leaves.

I’m not much of tea drinker (except iced tea with meals). But I have friends who are devoted connoisseurs. The can expound at length on varieties, the controversy over bags vs. loose leaves, brewing times, and I don’t know what all else. I listen politely, of course, but my own opinion was pretty well expressed in an episode of the Big Bang theory in which tea was described as basically, “leaf soup.” (Yes, I’m a coffee person myself; black, hot, no cream or sugar.)

Geez..give Tiffany one cup of tea and not only is she starting to crawl all over Kip, she seems to have completely forgotten about going to work. This is quite an elaborate path to getting her and Kip together. One would think that Dez (1) gave Stephanie the cheer camp money to get her out of the dorm, and (2) intentionally fed Tiffany and Kip some questionable tea to get them attracted to each other. She seems to be getting quite the kick out of how it’s all working out.

I am confused about one thing, did Stephanie immediately leave for the competition as soon as she got the money? Was she already registered? Does she keep a packed suitcase in her car? Or is she going to walk back in and get to see this tea party?

I’m reminded of the Star Trek episode Mudd’s Women.

The women had been taking “Venus drugs”, which enhanced their, uh, feminine charms. Kirk substitutes a placebo, which has the same effect. So, it was all in their minds.

Ooooo, Steph’s going to be left with her pom poms and her vani-tea.

Mix in Oysters and alcohol then the writers of this comic can take it up a notch.

Plenty of side-eyes from Tiff but I don’t see a budding romance or even brief fling. This is just two friends joking about Dez’s enthusiasm for her tea. BTW, I haven’t found any real belief that fenugreek affects libido. Did G&K make that up to move the story along, or did Dez invent it to push these two together?
