Yes, Piro.. Bernice has lost the ability to color coordinate and pretty much dresses like a Gypsy… I mean Muse. LOL

So will Bernice finally go out for some coffee with Piro? Looks like their friendship may blossom again. I’m also glad neither of the girls are acting weird or jealous about the situation.

Bernice has no interest in Piro. She has interest in being the person who rescued him. Like with Nil, no interest in him but interest in being a muse. It has to be about her.

Another good day for Luann both strip and character. Luann may be amusing but she is clearly inspiring Piro.

Piro seems quite a bit looser after all that. If Piro does have some renewed interest in Bernice, he’s going to be really surprised what she’s been up to with Nil and Jack and the Mona Lisa!

Piro is actually relaxed, thanks to Mrs. Horner (_who has found the fountain of youth _), and the goofy chilled Luanne.

I made the “a muse” joke two strips ago. Great minds….

And as the Sun sinks slowly in the west, a young man named ‘Nil’ has officially been placed in the “He’s just a friend category.”

Not to worry, though.

Nil will have guys named “Ox” and “Les” to keep him company.

Bernice couldn’t be bothered to read his letter. Or even tell Luann she was going to be there as her friend. But she sure made sure to JUMP up and claim credit when she thinks something is about her.

I’m with Bernice on this one, Piro, cause I’m not really sure how that pun makes any sense since ‘amuse’ is a verb. If it was to compliment Luann for being amusing, it didn’t land. Now, if Piro said “I’m with a muse and a moose” yeah, that pun would at least have two actual similar sounding nouns. It’d work… I mean if one of the gals were a moose that is… through, Bernice being a muse is debatable. She was only a muse with a guy she wasn’t trying to be one to.

A little disappointed that Bernice didn’t get a little humble pie for that goofy “you’re welcome” part. It still strikes me as a prima donna thing to say. Though, it is funny how Luann’s neckline shot up a couple inches the minute she complimented Bernice. Take it as a sign that doing so is a bad idea and always refrain from doing it, especially when she’s in muse-mode!!

Whos it gonna be Luann or Bernice?

The presence at the same time of two girls who are important to him seems to multiply Piro’s energy, giving him the confidence to even make jokes. Luann seems so genuinely happy for him and so happy that he and Bernice finally met and she heard his story. Bernice has noticed that Piro now is no longer the taciturn person she knew. The help of his therapist and the friendship with Luann are helping him starting to change. Will she be able to understand it and appreciate this new, sunnier side of him? Honestly, I don’t know. But Luann seems to be genuinely enthusiastic about it. Let’s hope they will go with Bernice at Nil’s booth now.

I’ve a feeling any possible romance will be quickly quashed when Piro finds out Bernice is Nils’ “muse”.

Besides, if Piro can make a joke (however lame), then it’s Luann who inspires him.

Hilarity ensueth. To what end? Ah there is the story. Will it be arc interruptus Monday? There are a number of storylines just glaringly are hanging out together, all around love and the young adult context. So much fun to speculate.

Lol! He is lightening up! If Bernice didn’t hear Luann’s story/routine, then she might not get that joke. I doubt she considered her friend, Luann amusing otherwise. Will Piro get to see the muse’s painting and meet Nil? Or will they stop for a cup of tea? Only the shadow knows! ;-))

Hopefully we are not done with the Spring Fair. We haven’t been to the art booth to see Nil’s painting. Maybe the three of them will go over. Meanwhile Piro is coming to terms with a Bern who may not be quite the same as the one he knew and wrote about.

Piro made a joke!!! Yay!! I really want Luann to be a solid bright influence on him without romantic entanglements. Piro clearly has a lot to work through before he could even approach a real relationship and I’d hate to see the writer’s try to force that.

This whole story could stand on it’s head if the person he was referring to was not Bernice but somebody else. These Luann arcs are more convoluted than the old soaps.

Soooo glad Bernice didn’t come out on stage and hog Piro’s moment! Yesterday had me cringing!

My hope is for a Luann-Piro romance to blossom.

Can’t get Pierrot (also called Piro) Clowns out of my mind when I see Piro. Pierrot clowns are sad clowns. Very fitting.

I have to admit I see absolutely NO sparks between Piro and Bernice. He didn’t seem impressed with her new look and she didn’t understand his joke.

Wait, I thought Bernice is sooo smart, yet she didn’t pick up on the joke? On the other hand, she’s way too literal minded, so yeah, that tracks.

Luann got the joke, Bernice didn’t, and Piro may not have been aware he made one. Make what you will of that.

So Bern inspired works of art from both Nil and Piro. Bet that’s not the way the BooBerns wll see it. LOL

I kind of hope this story ends here but when it returns, Bern and Piro are a couple. Maybe Bern and Nil are a couple. Maybe Bern, Piro and Nil will be a trio.

Next week Bernice shows Piro the resale shop where she got her hippy outfit and Piro comes home with bell bottomed jeans and a T-shirt with Janis Joplin’s picture on it.
