    - A woman has as much representation as a man does.

    - Women are legislating our rights also.

    - The statistic about 40% less pay is probably false.

    - Unless God came from a previous race, God is neither man or woman.

The legal priorities of the US are weird. 6 amendments to protect the right to vote, and certain politicians are working hard to make it harder to vote. More children die from guns than from anything else, yet certain politicians are more interested in protecting guns than children. (“Blame mental illness”, they bellow, while cutting funding for mental illness.) Their current mantra is how the LGBTQ+ are pedophiles, even though they make up a much smaller percentage of offenders than their percentage of the population. The “party of law and order” who claim that they want to “protect the blue” are calling for the defunding and elimination of many of the justice departments. The party of small government is insisting on eliminating which books you can read, who you can love, your rights of privacy and travel in case you’re pregnant, and your freedom of choice in religion (but you must follow theirs). The states with the highest percentage of teen pregnancies and teen STDs, despite being the only states which deny sex-ed in schools, and who saw those rates skyrocket when they stopped teaching sex-ed in schools, are vocal about what should be taught in schools. Then again, this is the same party whose primary members view Donald Trump as the 2nd coming of Jesus and an executioner of God’s command. Look at how many of them are slavishly trying to appeal to him after his recent 34 indictments. The question of whether you should vote for MAGA or democracy shouldn’t be that hard, but many votes will still go wherever Trump wants them to.

The question is not whether Wiley’s original stats have changed, but how much. Apparently the inequality between genders has improved to some degree, but it is nowhere near equal.

It is likely, Wiley repeated this arc to remind us of that, and not to say that he sees no change.

With the removal of Roe v. Wade, it’s gotten worse.

For those who claim pay is equal, since you simply don’t believe some groups get paid less than others, doesn’t make it go away. There are companies who will take advantage of salaries every chance they can.

In the legislative area, they are gaining ground, but with idiots MTG and LB, there is major room for improvement. This is mainly tied to who will follow the orders of the corps and million/billionares.

With a married couple living on SS and the man dies, the woman only now has the one check, her major expenses hasn’t changed that much, rent, auto and health insurance and utilities, only food. So yea, chances are they live in poverty.

Gotten better? The list doesn’t show it.

All of these claims have a kernel of truth, but are seriously exaggerated, except one, and that one needs additional perspective. I leave the lookups to the reader. This is, after all, a comic strip, a medium that functions through humor, exaggeration and rhetorical flourish, not a source of information from which one would expect careful handling of statistics and balanced presentation of information.

In particular, the final question – how much has changed in the past two decades or so — is intended to elicit a knee-jerk “Nothing!”, not a thoughtful response that would necessarily involve that boring premise, “A lot has changed, a lot hasn’t, and we still are a long way from where we would like to be.” Which is just not a punchline, and therefore will not appear in a comic strip except in the mouth of a character who is being set up for ridicule.

I read a lot of history, and it is simply unexplainable to me how half the human race can decide that the other half is second class because it’s different. Also, how can the male half have decided that they want their offspring born out of an inferior other half???? I know, I know—not all men are bad and not all women are good, but it IS the patriarchal half down through the ages who decided who was what and what was who.

In the 1870s, Utah gave women the right to vote.

The “Mormon Women” voting bloc soon became the state’s swing bloc, and they typically wound up voting in favor of plural marriage.

The folks in DC took this as proof that women were too incompetent to be trusted with the right to vote, and so subsequent anti-polygamy laws stripped all women in Utah and all Mormons nationwide of their voting rights.

For obvious reasons, it’s not something the average history book likes to talk about.

God is not the government either and most of the men in Government are not Godly. As long we the people seek equality from the men who create inequality, there will never be equality for men or women. God did create us equal but when ungodly men took over the government, equality was put to rest.

God is not a man, because the universe is not held together with duct tape.

God is not a woman, otherwise why would she create PMS?

I am “writing” a fictional book: “101 Reasons I am Glad I’m Not a Girl.” Number 1 is peeing while standing up. The world is your urinal. Number 101 is not having to find a bag to match my shoes.

In between are 99 more reasons (I think there are more then 99) – some as silly as the ones I just presented, but many are serious like the ones cited in this cartoon.

There are a number of women who are comfortable enough with me that they do not mind discussing some issues which could be considered TMI for a man. When they bring up and issue, I’ll blurt out something like “Reason number 72 why I’m glad I’m not a girl.”

Being married to a nurse, and an avid reader of Scientific American, I am not a doctor, but I do know more than the average person when it comes to health issues.

In the United States, the health system is designed around the 20-50, white male. For all other groups, medications and procedures are technically “off label.”

Health is just one of the several categories in my book.

I must admit that this depresses me. As a woman who grew up in the 60’s I saw the huge strides done to give women equality. Not only legally but also in society. But then things turned around. In the last 20 years or so the whispers about women being whiners and everything is fine has grown to a roar, incels proudly claim that raping is their right, politicians proudly claim that women do not have any right over their breeding capabilities, when women complain about the way they are treated in the street or at the office they are whiners or feminists (an insult now). Yes, things got much better. But now we are slipping back.

Thanks, Wiley, for relisting this. You are the best! The distance between the treatment of women in the US and Saudi Arabia is not all that great. The men in Congress still won’t pass the equal rights amendment. The GOP men in the MO legislature censured the women for inappropriate dress this year and gave them a dress code.

There has been some progress, but not nearly enough. White males, of which I am one, control most governments, most wealth, and most of everything. The feeling of white male entitlement runs back thousands of years.

Today, the GOPs next target is outlawing birth control and freedom of choice nationwide. Which begs the question, how long will women put up with old, white men making their reproductive choices for them, effectively making women reproductive slaves? You have the numbers if you organize and vote.

These days people don’t know what a woman is. Fools consider feelings to be more important that facts.

If we had equality I wonder why women don’t put in more overtime, die in wars, why the population of prison is so lopsided, why so many men win ‘women of the year’ awards. Why biological women are just so inferior to non-biological women in sports.

Who does most of the dangerous jobs? How many women brick layers, sewer engineers, garbage collectors, plumbers, construction workers are there? Why isn’t there equality in ALL jobs? Why are there more women teaching children and being nurses?

The sheer stupidity of the left just boggles my mind. It makes NO sense.

The Woke Cult is making misogyny great again! “Trans women” athletes are stealing trophies and scholarships from women athletes. If women athletes speak out against this travesty, they are threatened with violence by “trans women”. The Woke Cult can’t define the term “woman”; so, it appears they are determined to erase women. Johns Hopkins University has referred to lesbian women as “non-men” in the school’s new LGBTQ glossary. Using the term “non-men” to refer to biological women is as obliviously arrogant as using the term “non-white” to refer to people of color.
